I think my brain is still sleep; but my body is moving. I'm at the stairs. Praying I didn't fall asleep naked cause whoever was calling me was gonna get a eye full.

I immediatley gave him four cigarettes. I told you my brain was still asleep. I'm sitting on the edge of the the bed thinking.

My mom and my sister in law are like here overnight. Mom already asked me before she went to bed.....half tispsy...."I'm in the wind tonight. Is it safe to sleep with my pants off? I'm like MA they don't come up on this floor. This is my space up here.

So immediately I'm like sitting on my bed fuming like a bitch right now. Cause my brain has finally caught up with my body and now I'm awoke. I'm fuming, Not only because I feel like he made them lose the sense of security they had before they went to sleep.

But because I have a hard time sleeping. And now I'm wide a fucking wake and can't go back to sleep.

I just can not beleive this shit. Can you believe this shit???

..I end up going down stairs banging on the now locked basement door. (I Iater find out Daddy tried to lock him in the basement to keep him from coming upstairs. )

Now, it's 5:15 in the damn morning and I'm banging on the damn locked basement door rattling off about as many cursewords as you used that day in the car about Nana. Cursing both him and daddy out.

11 Month Old Columbian Baby Weighs 61 Pounds

11 month old Baby Deyner de Agudelo weighs 61 lbs. Thats the size of a 8 year old child.

His mother Milena says he was a normal size when he was born but started growing and growing when he was around 60 days old.

"He's had some tests and he has a thyroid malfunction. But he also has the bones of an eight year old boy and no-one has been able to tell me why." Deyner weighs 28 kilograms, or about 61 pounds - that's more than four times what his baby friend of the same age weighs.

His doctor, David Dias, says more medical tests are needed to find out why. "The baby's going to have tests done to see if he's obese or if we're dealing with hyperthyroidism." Clothes are a major problem for Deyner's mother. Hand me downs from his older brother aren't an option and no baby clothes are big enough. As a result he spends most of his time wearing just a nappy - the largest size available of course.

No, and honestly, he's the one person I'm nervous about reading this, but I had to do it. How do I not tell that part of my life story? This book is not so much about my abuse, but my road to recovery.Interviewer: For years, there had been industry whisperings about you and Treach's tumultuous marriage. Has he ever reached out to you to apologize? PEPA: No, and I want to make it clear it is what it is. From what I know, people grow and that might have been who he was in the past. I can't speak for who he is now. Hopefully, this was then. He really is a great father to his kids. I don't want to make him out to be the bad guy. Again, the real story I wanted to tell is more about why I allowed these things to happen to me. Interviewer: That's truly a blessing. In your book you say that your decision to change your patterns with abusive relationships had to do with your son, Tyran, and Egypt, your daughter with Treach. Did they ever witness the physical abuse and question you about it? PEPA: No, never physical, but they were often present during yelling and screaming matches. People forget that verbal abuse is equally unhealthy. My kids used to see me crying and depressed all the time, and that can affect kids as well.

R&B singer Robin Thicke who's married to black actress Paula Patton speaks out against Vibe Magazine. In his latest interview with Billboard Magazine, Thicke claims that Vibe told him that they wouldn’t put a “White artist” on the cover of their magazine.

A judge declared a mistrial in February, and the retrial began August 18. Jury deliberations started Thursday following closing arguments. Prosecutors said Arnold intentionally put her baby in the microwave oven and cooked the child to death after a fight with her boyfriend. Arnolds’ cellmate testified that Arnold confessed to putting the baby in the microwave and turned it on because she was worried her boyfriend would leave her if he found out the child wasn’t his.

But the report does give a clue into how the whole thing started — apparently, Suge and Melissa were on their way to the Spearmint Rhino strip joint when Suge got a call from another woman.

Isaac confronted Suge about the other chick and that’s when Knight allegedly went ballistic. When she tried to get away, Suge “caught up to her and tossed her to the ground … [and] repeatedly kicked and punched her.” She blacked out and woke up naked. The report says Suge had a tab of E and a couple of Vicodin on him.

A Kid Challenges His Parents to Smoke Salvia

Ok, most of my friend know that Ganja is my friend. Well last year when I still lived in NC, I had these two neighbors who just happen to be white. Anyway, Tina was a stripper at this lil seedy strip joint and her hubby Tommy was the bouncer there. We used to hang out all the time. So one day Tommy comes over and is like; "yeah I know you the Ganja Queen, I got something I want you to try" I bet you have't had any green as good as this."

So, I'm chillen with one of my closest friends at the time "AmPeezy" who is highly highly protective of me. But anyway, I'm like ok!! So I g onext door to their house and Tommy brings me this little joint. Ok, as most of my folks know if and when I smoke; I don't smoke blunts or bongs or anything that. Strickly white boys - papers.

So anyway, he brings me this little joint and I am standing on the stairs to their deck. I hit the joint twice and pass it back to Tommie. All of a sudden I start laughing hysterically. Everything was funny as hell, I just could't stop laughing. I felt so light, so euphoric. The next thing I know my legs leave me and I am on the ground laughing my ass off and AmPeezy starts freaking out. What the fuck you give her man, what the fuck is that shit? Amp is my height and Tommie is a bout 6'5. It's hilarious cause Amp is about to try and fuck Tommy up right. He's freaking out cause I'm freaking out.

Amp is trying to help me get up and going off and Tommie and Tina both are like "damn she fell down." LOL I tell you this shit was so funny to me. Tommie starts swearing "I promise man its not gonna hurt her it's harmless. It's Salvia - It's a little herb, it's sold in the store for Christ sake." After about five minutes of this I am myself again. And yes, the shit is sold at most bong stores.

It surprises when I come across this clip. I'm like "Thats that shit" LOL

Anyway, in this clip. It's the first time I have ever seen someone else smoke Salvia. This too is too damn funny. It's exactly how I was feeling. I heard this is what some of the Indians used to smoke; but don't quote me on that one!!!

Baltimore News: Snoop of Wire Has Been Released

A judge released actress Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, known for her role as a hitwoman on HBO's The Wire, from jail yesterday after she was picked up this week on a warrant alleging her refusal to cooperate with prosecutors handling a murder case in which she is a witness.

At a Circuit Court hearing yesterday, an attorney for Pearson, who had planned to be in New York for the filming of a movie, told Judge John Addison Howard that she had not received court notices and was willing to "honor her obligations" as a witness to a 2005 killing.

"She will honor what is required of her, but I'm not sure how happy she is in cooperating now that the state's attorney's office had her arrested and had homicide officers breaking down her door," said defense attorney Brad Goldbloom. "If that's how they're trying to get her assistance, I'm not sure it's working."

Authorities believe Pearson witnessed Steven James Lashley stab three men, killing one, after an argument that began outside New York Fried Chicken on The Block in the fall of 2005. The trial, which has been postponed multiple times this year, is scheduled to begin Sept. 16.



A warrant was issued July 1 after Pearson, 28, failed to appear at an April trial date and told a prosecutor that she "wished to have no further personal contact with her about this case," according to court records. She had requested witness protection assistance but did not follow through, officials said yesterday. She then failed to appear at a July 7 trial date.

Members of the police homicide unit forced entry into her home Wednesday morning to pick her up on the warrant. Once inside, they observed two cigars containing suspected marijuana and "loose plant material" in plain view, police said. As a result, she was also charged with one count of drug possession.

Pearson, who was convicted of second-degree murder at age 16 and served time in prison before landing the part on The Wire, was led into the courtroom yesterday shackled at the legs and hands, limping and wincing due to cuts on the back of her feet apparently caused by the cuffs.

In a memoir released last year, she detailed her struggle to leave a behind a troubled past.

Prosecutor Doug Guidorizzi said it was believed Pearson had stopped cooperating when her role in the murder case was publicized earlier this year, though he acknowledged that most efforts to contact her had been through intermediaries, including her film agent and a former defense attorney, and it was not clear whether she had ever signed a summons.

Guidorizzi asked that she be held on $50,000 cash bail to "ensure her appearance."

Howard told Pearson that the warrant might have been issued in error, though he added that it was apparent that one likely would have had to be issued at some point. She was released and assigned to pretrial supervision, which means she will be required to be in weekly contact with court officials.

As she was led from the courtroom, Pearson told a reporter, "Don't slander me. I'm from here."

Baltimore's Own "Snoop" In Trouble Again

Police arrested popular actress Felicia “Snoop” Pearson on minor drug charges on Wednesday (August 20), after she was detained for refusing to cooperate as a witness in a murder trial.

Members of Baltimore’s Homicide Unit entered Snoop’s Northeast Baltimore home with a “body attachment” warrant, which allowed authorities to arrest and detain her. Once inside, they also found two cigars filled with what is allegedly marijuana as well as marijuana residue. Police may detain Snoop until September 16, when the murder trial of her associate Steven James Lashley begins. Lashley is accused of stabbing three men - one fatally - outside a Baltimore New York Fried Chicken, in Snoop’s defense. Snoop already told investigators that she wasn’t involved in the stabbing.

“He [Roseborough] ain’t try to flirt with me or no [s**t] like that,” Pearson told investigators. “It was so tight in there…I’m like what [s**t] man get out of my face.”
According to The Baltimore Sun, a warrant was issued for Snoop on July 1, after she missed an April 21 trial date. She also recently avoided prosecutors’ phone calls in regards to the trial. Snoop was sentenced to eight years in prison in 1996 at the age of 14, for shooting and killing Okia “Kia” Toomer during a dispute between the two females.

Da Brat Sentenced to Prison

Damn, one of my favorite old school female rappers has found herself in trouble for trying to take a another females head off. It's not the first time she's been in trouble for assualting a female. In 2000 she got into it at a Halloween Party with some girl at Sudio 72 in Tucker, GA.

This time, a DeKalb County judge sentenced rapper Da Brat; born Shawntae Harris to three years in prison for assaulting a waitress with a rum bottle at an Atlanta-area nightclub.

The victim, a waitress at the club, had to be hospitalized after being struck by Brat. The victim is said to have suffered pemanent facial scarring.

Brat was also sentenced to seven years probation and 200 hours of community service. Fortunate for Brat, she will only serve 12 months of the three year sentence.

About six members of Harris’s family wept when a sheriff’s deputy took her into custody.

“I love y’all,” Harris, 34, said as she was led out of the courtroom.“We love you too” the relatives replied in unison. DaBrat entered a guilty plea to aggravated assault.

Poor girl. She's gonna have to grow up and realize you can't just knock the hell outta folks. Though sometimes I too, wish it weren't against the law.

Jacksonville, FL DJ Attacked, Eyes CUT OUT!!

Police have been looking for 30-year-old Foster Leon, who is accused of aggravated battery in the attack.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville police are trying to find a man who they said attacked a disc jockey after an altercation at a bar and then cut the man's eyes out, WJXT-TV reported.
Investigators said the DJ was attacked in early July 5 near the Starlite Cafe.
Police found him in the neighborhood because someone driving by saw him lying in the street.

"(It's) heartbreaking to think something like that would happen here," said one of the DJ's former co-workers, Kir Kay.

According to a police report, the DJ had life-threatening injuries and both of his eyes were protruding from his face.

Friends of the victim told WJXT-TV the man who loved playing music in the bar now has to rely on his hearing because the attack left him blind.

"I cannot imagine what would drive somebody to do that," Kay said.
Police have been looking for 30-year-old Foster Leon, who is accused of aggravated battery in the attack.

Friends said the DJ has since moved out of state following the attack, but before he left he stopped by the bar to say goodbye.

"Very strong, very determined. I don't know what I'd do in his position. I'm proud of him. I can tell you that I'm proud of him," Kay said.

"No-one knows who I am," he told the magazine, before claiming: "I live here on less than a dollar a month."

According to Italy's Vanity Fair his two metre by three metre shack is decorated with football posters of the Italian football giants AC Milan and Inter, as well as a calendar showing exotic beaches of the world.Vanity Fair also noted that he had a front page newspaper picture of his famous brother - born of the same father as him, Barack Hussein Obama, but to a different mother, named only as Jael.

He told the magazine: "I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist."
Embarrassed by his penury, he said that he does not does not mention his famous half-brother in conversation."If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed," he said.

For ten years George Obama lived rough. However he now hopes to try to sort his life out by starting a course at a local technical college.

He has only met his famous older brother twice - once when he was just five and the last time in 2006 when Senator Obama was on a tour of East Africa and visited Nairobi.

We lost another face from hollywood. Character actor Julius Carry died Aug. 19 in LA of pancreatic cancer. He was 56 years old.

Julius " Sho' Nuff" Carry mostly known for his part as the villain Sho’nuff in the cult pic “The Last Dragon.” Julius appeared in more than 100 guest roles including “Hill Street Blues,” “Jag,” “Spin City” and “Moesha.”

Other feature credits included “The New Guy,” “Moving,” “World Gone Wild,” “The Man With The Red Shoe” and “The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh.” Born in Chicago, his first screen credit was in “Disco Godfather.” Carry is survived by his wife Naomi.

Man's Dead Body is Displayed Standing Up at His Wake

August 20, 2008. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A Puerto Rican man has been granted his wish to remain standing — even in death. A funeral home used a special embalming treatment to keep the corpse of 24-year-old Angel Pantoja Medina standing upright for his three-day wake.

Dressed in a Yankees baseball cap and sunglasses, Pantoja was mourned by relatives while propped upright in his mother's living room.

His brother Carlos told the El Nuevo Dia newspaper the victim had long said he wanted to be upright for his own wake: "He wanted to be happy, standing."

The owner of the Marin Funeral Home, Damaris Marin, told The Associated Press the mother asked him to fulfill her dead son's last wish.

Pantoja was found dead Friday underneath a bridge in San Juan and buried Monday. Police are investigating.

Minister Steals Church Members Identity

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - A Baptist minister in central Pennsylvania has been sentenced to one year in jail for stealing the identities of his church members.

Raymond Clayton Sr., 44, was also ordered to pay more than $28,000 in restitution at his sentencing Wednesday. Clayton is the former pastor of Grace Fellowship Church near Mount Carmel.

Federal prosecutors said Clayton used parishioners' personal information to obtain credit cards between November 2006 and April 2007. He pleaded guilty in March to access device fraud.
The church has since disbanded.

DES MOINES, Wash., Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A Des Moines, Wash., couple said they have shut down the sex club they operated out of their home, after they were cited by the city.

Regan "Draco" Lane-Smith and "Naughty" Nonah Elliston said their home -- which they named the Hardwood Cabin -- had been a haven for swingers and fetishists, with six bedrooms, 15 mattresses, bondage crosses and sex swings, The Seattle Times reported Thursday.

The couple said they had up to 60 guests at a time in their home.

However, they said the city cited them for running a business without a license and threatened to levy fines of up to $513 a day until the club was shut down.

Lane-Smith and Elliston said they shut down the club, despite their objections that the sexy hangout was not a business because they never charged admission. They claim they are being persecuted for their lifestyle and should be able to use their home for whatever purpose they wish.

"We're happy hedonists," Elliston said. "As far as I know you're still allowed to throw a party in your house."

The couple said they are challenging the city's ruling and are due in court Sept. 11.

GIRL FOUND IN HORROR CLOSET

PLANT CITY, Florida - The family had lived in the rundown rental house for almost three years when someone first saw a child's face in the window.

A little girl, pale, with dark eyes, lifted a dirty blanket above the broken glass and peered out, one neighbor remembered.

The girl looked young. And too thin. Her cheeks seemed sunken; her eyes were lost. the child stared into the square of sunlight, then slipped away. Months went by. The face never reappeared.

Just before noon on July 13, 2005, a Plant City police car pulled up outside. Two officers went into the house - and one stumbled back out. Clutching his stomach, the rookie retched in the weeds. Someone had finally called the police.

Plant City Detective Mark Holste and his young partner found a car parked outside. A woman was slumped over in her seat, sobbing. She was an investigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families. "Unbelievable," she told Holste. "The worst I've ever seen."
"I've been in rooms with bodies rotting there for a week and it never stunk that bad," Holste said later. "Urine and feces - dog, cat and human excrement - smeared on the walls, mashed into the carpet. Everything dank and rotting."

Tattered curtains, yellow with cigarette smoke, dangling from bent metal rods. Cardboard and old comforters stuffed into broken, grimy windows. Trash blanketing the stained couch, the sticky counters. The floor, walls, even the ceiling seemed to sway beneath legions of scuttling roaches. "It sounded like you were walking on eggshells. You couldn't take a step without crunchin German cockroaches," the detective said. "They were in the lights, in the furniture. Even inside the freezer. The freezer!"

A stout woman in a faded housecoat demanded to know what was going on. Yes, she lived there. Yes, those were her two sons in the living room. Her daughter? Well, yes, she had a daughter . . .
The detective turned the handle on a door, which opened into a space the size of a walk-in closet. He squinted in the dark. At his feet, something stirred.

First he saw the girl's eyes: dark and wide, unfocused, unblinking. She wasn't looking at him so much as through him. She lay on a torn, moldy mattress on the floor. Her ribs and collarbone jutted out; one skinny arm was slung over her face; her black hair was matted, crawling with lice. Insect bites, rashes and sores pocked her skin. Though she looked old enough to be in school, she was naked - except for a swollen diaper. "The pile of dirty diapers in that room must have been 4 feet high," the detective said. "That child was just lying there, surrounded by her own excrement and bugs." When he bent to lift her, she yelped like a lamb. "It felt like I was picking up a baby," Holste said. "I put her over my shoulder, and that diaper started leaking down my leg."

Choking back rage, he approached the mother. How could you let this happen?
"The mother's statement was: 'I'm doing the best I can.' "THE detective carried the girl past her mother in the doorway, who was shrieking, "Don't take my baby!" He buckled the child into the state investigator's car. "Radio ahead to Tampa General," the detective remembers telling his partner.

Her name, her mother had said, was Danielle. She was almost 7 years old. She weighed 46 pounds. In the pediatric intensive-care unit, they tried to feed the girl, but she couldn't chew or swallow solid food. So they put her on an IV and let her drink from a bottle. Aides bathed her, scrubbed the sores on her face, trimmed her torn fingernails. They had to cut her tangled hair before they could comb out the lice.

Her caseworker determined that she had never been to school, never seen a doctor. She didn't know how to hold a doll, didn't understand peek-a-boo. A doctor would write, "The child will be disabled for the rest of her life."

Hunched in an oversized crib, Danielle curled in on herself like a potato bug, then writhed angrily, kicking and thrashing. To calm herself, she batted at her toes and sucked her fists.
She wouldn't make eye contact. She didn't react to heat or cold - or pain. The insertion of an IV needle elicited no reaction. She never cried. With a nurse holding her hands, she could stand and walk sideways on her toes, like a crab. She couldn't talk, didn't know how to nod yes or no. Once in a while, she grunted.

She wasn't deaf, wasn't autistic, had no physical ailments such as cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy. The doctors and social workers had no way of knowing all that had happened to Danielle. But they believed she had never been cared for beyond basic sustenance. They doubted she had ever been taken out in the sun. She was fragile and beautiful, but whatever makes a person human seemed somehow missing.

Dr. Kathleen Armstrong, director of pediatric psychology at the University of South Florida medical school, called the girl's condition "environmental autism." Danielle had been deprived of interaction for so long, the doctor believed, that she had withdrawn into herself. "There was no light in her eye, no response or recognition," Armstrong said. "We saw a little girl who didn't even respond to hugs or affection. Even a child with the most severe autism responds to those."
THE authorities had discov ered the rarest and most pitiable of creatures: a feral child.

The term is not a diagnosis. It comes from historic accounts - some fictional, some true - of children raised by animals and therefore not exposed to human nurturing. It is said that during the 13th century, Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II gave a group of infants to some nuns. He told them to take care of the children but never speak to them. He believed the babies would eventually reveal the true language of God. Instead, they died from the lack of interaction.
"In the first five years of life, 85 percent of the brain is developed," Armstrong said. "Those early relationships, more than anything else, help wire the brain and provide children with the experience to trust, to develop language, to communicate. They need that system to relate to the world."

Danielle had probably missed the chance to learn speech, but maybe she could come to understand language, to communicate in other ways. Danielle spent six weeks at Tampa General. Eventually, she was placed in a group home. In October 2005, a couple of weeks after she turned 7, Danielle started school in a special-ed class at Sanders Elementary.
"If you put food anywhere near her, she'd grab it" and mouth it like a baby, said Kevin O'Keefe, Danielle's first teacher. "She had a lot of episodes of great agitation, yelling, flailing her arms, rolling into a fetal position.

"She'd curl up in a closet, just to be away from everyone. She didn't know how to climb a slide or swing on a swing. She didn't want to be touched." It took her a year just to become consolable, he said. By Thanksgiving 2006, her caseworker was thinking about finding her a permanent home.
Luanne Panacek, executive director of the Children's Board of Hillsborough County, decided to include Danielle in the Heart Gallery - a set of portraits depicting children available for adoption displayed in malls and on the Internet.

BERNIE LIEROW, 48, and Diane Lierow, 45, have four grown sons from previous marriages and one together. Diane couldn't have any more children, and Bernie had always wanted a daughter. So last year, when their son William was 9, they decided to adopt. When they met Danielle at her school, she was drooling. Her tongue hung from her mouth. Her head, which seemed too big for her thin neck, lolled side to side.

When they met Danielle at her school, Diane walked over and spoke to her softly. Danielle didn't seem to notice. But when Bernie bent down, Danielle turned toward him and her eyes seemed to focus. He held out his hand. She let him pull her to her feet. Bernie led Danielle to the playground, she pulling sideways and prancing on her tiptoes. She squinted in the sunlight but let him push her gently on the swing. When it was time for them to part, Bernie swore he saw Danielle wave. They brought Danielle home on Easter weekend 2007.
"It was a disaster," Bernie said. They gave her a doll; she bit off its hands. They took her to the beach; she screamed and wouldn't put her feet in the sand. Back at her new home, she tore from room to room, her swim diaper spewing streams across the carpet. She couldn't peel the wrapper from a chocolate egg, so she ate the shiny paper too. She couldn't hold a crayon. When they tried to brush her teeth or comb her hair, she kicked and thrashed. She wouldn't lie in a bed, wouldn't go to sleep, just rolled on her back, side to side, for hours. All night, she kept popping up, creeping sideways on her toes into the kitchen. She would pull out the frozen food drawer and stand on the bags of vegetables so she could see into the refrigerator.

Bernie and Diane already thought of Danielle as their daughter, but Danielle's birth mother did not want to give her up even though she had been charged with child abuse and faced 20 years in prison. So prosecutors offered a deal: If she waived her parental rights, they wouldn't send her to jail. She took the plea.

After a year with her new family, "Dani" (as they call her) has grown a foot, and her weight has doubled. Since she started going to the beach and swimming in their backyard pool, Dani's shoulder-length hair has turned a golden blond. She's learning right from wrong, they say. And she seems upset when she knows she has disappointed them. They take her to occupational and physical therapy, to church and the mall and the grocery store. They have her in speech classes and horseback-riding lessons.

SHE'S out there somewhere, looming over Danielle's story like a ghost. Michelle Crockett lives in a mobile home in Plant City with her two 20-something sons, three cats and a closet full of kittens. Sitting in her kitchen, chain-smoking 305s, Michelle says she was a student at the University of Tampa when she met a man named Bernie at a bar. It was 1976. They had two sons.

Bernard died in August 1997. Six months later, she met a man in a casino. "His name was Ron," she says. She shakes her head. "No, it was Bob. I think it was Bob."

Danielle, she says, was born in a hospital in Las Vegas, a healthy baby who weighed 7 pounds, 6ounces. Her Apgar score measuring her health was a 9, nearly perfect. When Danielle was 18 months old, Michelle headed to Florida. She got hired as a cashier at a Publix supermarket. But it was OK: "The boys were with [Danielle]," she says.

She goes to the boys' bathroom, returns with a box full of documents. The earliest are from Feb. 11, 2002. A caller reported that a child, about 3, was "left unattended for days with a retarded older brother, never seen wearing anything but a diaper." Nine months later, another call to authorities. A person who knew Michelle from the Moose Lodge said she was always there playing bingo with her new boyfriend, leaving her children alone overnight. Michelle insists Danielle was fine.

A judge ordered Michelle to have a psychological evaluation. Danielle's IQ, the report says, is below 50, indicating "severe mental retardation." Michelle's is 77, "borderline range of intellectual ability." Michelle is on probation until 2012.

Mom held in boy's alleged cult death

A 21-year-old woman is being held without bail because she is accused of starving her toddler to death while a member of a religious cult was ordered held without bail Tuesday, and her attorney suggested that she was not responsible for her son's slaying.

Antoinette Queen, 40, led the cult, called the 1 Mind Ministries, police say.

Ria Ramkissoon wore a purple jumpsuit and a blank expression during her appearance Tuesday at the city's booking center, answering only, "Yes," when asked whether she had read the charges against her.

Her attorney, Steven D. Silverman, argued for bail to be set, but District Court Judge Theodore B. Oshrine decided that holding Ramkissoon without bail was appropriate because of the seriousness of the allegations.

Silverman said after the hearing that his client, a petite native of Trinidad who moved to Maryland with her mother at the age of 8 and has no criminal record, was manipulated by cult members.

"She did not in any way initiate or cause the death of her son, and we are going to, I think, have a very easy time proving that," Silverman said. "The members of this cult, who were more than twice her age, were calling the shots. ... She bought the program, hook, line and sinker."
Four other alleged members of the group known as 1 Mind Ministries also face first-degree murder charges in the death of Javon Thompson, who was about 15 months old when he died. Bail reviews for two of them -- Queen Antoinette, 40, the alleged cult leader; and Trevia Williams, 21 -- were postponed Tuesday.

Police allege in court documents that Ramkissoon conspired with the four other cult members to deprive Javon of food and water in December 2006, and that the boy died after two days without nourishment. Antoinette wanted to punish the toddler for refusing to say "Amen" after meals, and cult members also viewed him as a "demon," according to the documents.

The documents allege that Antoinette later put Javon's body in a suitcase that was hidden in a shed behind a Philadelphia home for more than a year. Police recovered the suitcase in April. DNA tests are pending to confirm that the body inside was Javon's.

“Last night LisaRaye, and her (Goon's) I mean her cousin Phillip Travis, and her publicist Lynn Jetter assaulted a guard at the gate of her home; that she shared with her husband the Turks & Caicos Islands guy. She then assaulted the Turks & Caicos Islands guy and his sister and tore up the house. (Allegedly). I'm sure she did that because they were trying to keep her out. She was probably just trying to get what was hers.

The Turks and Caicos Island guy and his sister were taken to the hospital with alleged bite marks and later released.

Some say she had no legal right to be at the residence. I say unless he had gotten a Exparte or something against her; she had every right to be in that residence.

10. BE SELECTIVE IN FRIENDSHIPS.

Friendship is not charity, it's a give-and-take relationship. Your friends should be people you love, admire and respect. Don't be afraid to expand, or change your circle of friends. As you get older, you may head in a different direction than those you once considered your 'best friends forever'. As you evolve and mature, you may grow apart from friends who no longer fulfill you - it's ok! Hold this person in your heart, but be true to yourself when devoting time, energy and emotion to anyone you seriously consider a 'friend'.

9. RE-INVENT YOURSELF WHEN NECESSARY.

Self-reinvention is a way to constantly reflect and assess your goals and priorities in your personal, academic and professional life. The concept of self-reinvention allows you to reconsider your lifestyle and, at any given moment, change a particular course of action. The beauty of this process is that you don't have to beat yourself up about behaviour you consider undesirable. You should actually feel great that you have enough sense to realize the error of your ways (whatever they may be), and can spontaneously commit to change. Congratulations - you just solved a problem!

8. PROTECT YOURSELF.

HIV/AIDS is the #1 killer of black women ages 19-27 in America . You are not corny or lame if you insist on an HIV test before having 'relations' with someone. In fact, you're stupid to give up responsibility for your health and put your life in someone else's hands. Please DO NOT FALL FOR the age-old trick: 'Look at me - what am I supposed to do now?!' All men 'play with themselves'. Politely tell your partner that he should focus on 'self- love' until you're certain that he deserves to enter your temple.

7. JEALOUSY IS A WASTED EMOTION.

People who love themselves and recognize their worth are unable to be jealous of others. Why? You should be so preoccupied with loving yourself and changing what you don't like, you have no time to worry about what others are doing. Being jealous of someone is a waste of energy. You cannot control other people and the choices they make, or the luck they have. Weak people let other's circumstances affect their self-love and/or self-worth. Resist the temptation to be envious, as it will get you nowhere. If anything, let other people motivate you to achieve certain goals for yourself.

6. CARRY YOURSELF LIKE A LADY.

Embrace that which makes you a woman, and by all means, take advantage of the privileges that we have. Force men around you to treat you with the respect they would their mother, aunt or sister. Insist that your doors be opened for you, order your food first in a restaurant, and sit in the front seat if you are the only female in the car. There is nothing wrong with being 'pleasantly demanding'. Along with the privilege of womanhood comes a certain responsibility. Being a true 'lady' means you exhibit manners that would make your grandmother proud, your clothes are tasteful and appropriate for your age, and your hair and nails are always clean. These little things make a big difference in how you are viewed by outsiders, and the quality of men that you attract.

5. KEEP UP WITH CURRENT EVENTS.

Staying in touch with what's going on in the world is very important. Not only is it important to be aware of national and global issues, it makes you a lot more interesting to others because you always have something to talk about. It doesn't take much to watch the news, read the newspaper online, or buy an issue of TIME magazine or Newsweek. Don't forget - parents and teachers are a great source of information on current events, and would love to have a conversation with you about something 'serious'.

4. Travel.

Do you have a passport? If not, get one. Before you are saddled with the responsibilities of a job and a family, take advantage of your freedom and travel. Instead of buying a new outfit, buy a plane ticket. See other parts of the world and observe other cultures. More importantly, have fun! Plan a trip with a friend to a social event in another city, a beach on an island, or a city in a foreign country. Capture your memories with photos or in a diary (or a blog). You will cherish them forever.

3. Be Proud To Be Black.

Black culture and heritage is based on strength, perseverance, and rich talents. You should have an overwhelming sense of cultural pride - as black people, we are so very special. Don't EVER feel as if you aren't equal to another person simply because you're black. If you have any question as to the importance of black people to our society, or how smart, beautiful, talented, funny and fascinating we are, start reading. Watch old movies. Read plays. Go see plays. Buy tickets for dance and musical performances. Seek opportunities to study academic topics involving, or related to, black people. Talk to your relatives that lived through some of the historical events you've heard about. Get on the Internet and study people with whom you're familiar. Keep in mind, black pride doesn't mean exclusion of others. It is most impressive when you seek to educate other cultures about the beauty and greatness of being black.

2. Have a Cause.

As long as you're here, it is your duty as a human being to help make the world a better place. 1. Love Yourself.

This is #1 and most important, yet challenging, mission to accomplish. Self-love is critical to survival at any age, and may be quite a personal journey. Loving yourself means recognizing, developing and honouring a sense of self-worth. Loving yourself means you have zero tolerance for anyone or anything that doesn't love you and respect you. Loving yourself also means you must treat yourself well, simply because no one else will do it for you.

Blogging Etiquette!! Who Knew???

Ok, I've been struggling with this little issue of blog etiquette. (Gosh that spelling looks crazy too me.) Anyway, I've been at this for a little while now, and of course I get my information from various sources; but mainly I visit other blogs of my interest. While perusing for gossip; cause I'm nosey as hell. If I find something juicy I usually snag it for my blog. Done...no problem.

Well I've discovered there is a little problem. When posting to your blog you're supposed to big up; so to speak- the place where you get your information. Ok, I have no real problem with this. I mean of course lots of bloggers get it in physically with their ish...but who's to know who's also snagging their ish from other blogs. (I'm sure most do; to some extent).and who's posts are sure nough sure nough originals and therefore;might be trademarked. Which is another issue all together. See all that is just too much for me. Again, basically this is a hobby. I never really have enough time to post or even write my posts the way I'd really like to. So usually I'm trying to save time, and don't go the extra step to put in where I got the info from.

What I've also discovered on this journey is this. Blogging... this right here; is some serious work, I definitely put in some serious time posting; as do many others. Shit, most of them are going over and beyond. It's just a little stress relieving hobby for me. I do it for my family and friends. They are always asking me "Did you here about this? Or did you hear about that? Some even challenge me on the latest gossip. It's so funny. But I usually say "yeah I heard have you checked the blog?" LOL

I enjoy gossip, I enjoy writing; so therefore I blog. So after coming to this realization, I feel it's only right that from now on; I will go that extra step and big up where I get my info.

Anyway, all that brings me to this. Solange Performs at WKYS' Stone Soul Picnic

Solange performed her new single "I Decided" last weekend at DC's WKYS' Stone Soul Picnic.

Girlfriend did a good job. I think what was really surprising to me was that she can really sing. Every since I saw her music video I was kinda like "go head girl"; take 'em back to the old school. I always wondered if she really could sound like the video.

Well she does. Right at the 3:20 mark some random dude dances onstage. Security tries to escort him off the stage when Solange says "He aint hurting nobody"; then danced with him and proceded on with her show..That right there spoke volumes to me. She was a great sport. Check it out.

Man Almost Loses Penis Humping Steel Bench

Last night in Hong Kong, the police received a disturbing call from a man in trouble.

Xing, a 41 year-old man, was calling from LanTian park in the middle of the night. The lonely and disturbed man had apparently thought it would be fun to have sex with one of the steel sit-up benches around the park.

The bench has numerous small holes in it, which Xing used to attempt to satisfy himself. However, once he became aroused he found that he was stuck and could not get his penis out of the small hole.

He panicked and called the police to help him.

When police arrive they found Xian stuck face down where he had been stuck for some time.

When doctors arrived on the scene they tried to release some of the pressure by removing some of his blood, but the penis was so swollen that they ended up having to cut the entire bench free and take it, with Xian attached, to the hospital.

4 painful hours later, Doctors finally separated Xian from his bench.

Doctors stated that if he had been stuck for even an hour longer, they would have had to remove his penis.

I am laughing so hard. I can't believe they got a picture of him leaving the hospital.

Craigslist Rapist is HIV Positive

DECATUR, Ga. -- DeKalb County police have charged an 18-year-old man with raping two women they say he lured off the popular website Craigslist.

Detectives say Allen Jamar McDowell of Decatur convinced two women on separate occasions to meet him at an apartment off Kensington Road. The apartment was vacant, but McDowell allegedly gained access and held the women captive while he sexually assaulted them.

Both cases weren't initially linked together and, in fact, police didn't name McDowell as the suspect until recently. .

It was later discovered that McDowell is HIV positive. McDowell faces a laundry list of charges including kidnapping, rape and reckless conduct for knowingly exposing someone to HIV. What police say they don't know is how long McDowell may have been soliciting women on the internet and if there are other victims out there who have not yet come forward.

Black Female Soldier Killed Mysteriously

LaVena Lynn Johnson, (1st photo) an honors graduate of Hazelwood Central High School, was Missouri's first female soldier to die in Iraq. The Army ruled her death July 19, 2005, as a suicide, saying-that she had shot herself in the mouth with an M-16 rifle.

Immediately after her murder, The Army allegedly told her family that her death was not a suicide. But a short time later, the Army changed its story. According to sources, the case was never properly investigated. The FBI should have taken over this case.

Christopher Grey, chief of public affairs for the U.S. Criminal Investigative Command, said Tuesday the Johnson case remains closed and that there is nothing new to release.

Lavena's father, John Johnson (2nd photo) has contended that she wouldn't have killed herself. He argues that photos from the death investigation indicate LaVena, 19, was raped and murdered and that her body was dumped in a contractor's tent and set afire. There's also speculation the perp is a fellow soldier.

"I could let it go, but then somebody gets away with murder," Johnson said Tuesday.

13 Yr. Old Convicted of Sodomy, Attempted Rape, Kidnapping and Assault

(13-YEAR-OLD SENTENCED TO 60 YEARS)

13-year-old Sherman Burnett Jr. committed these crimes on the afternoon of the 11th November, 2005.

Sherman Burnett claimed he attacked the little girl, because she had thrown a rock at him. After chasing and catching her he pulled the little girl into the woods, beat her close to death and also sodomized her.

Sherman Burnett beat the girl so badly that she had half an ear torn off, her liver had been lacerated, she had a skull fracture and she was covered in bruises from the crown of her head down to her thighs.

After assaulting her he left her; beaten so badly that she couldn't walk. The little girl crawled through a hole in a fence near some railroad tracks by her house. She covered herself with leaves to keep warm throughout the night.

Thirteen hours after she had disappeared, she was found at 5:30 the next morning less than 200 feet from her house by a police officer during a massive search of her neighborhood.

While recovering from her ordeal in the St. Louis Children's Hospital, the police brought her a few yearbooks to look at in the hopes that she would be able to pick out her attacker.

She had absolutely no problem identifying Sherman Burnett Jr. from his yearbook picture.

During interviews with the authorities, Sherman Burnette blamed the girl for the attack, stating that if she hadn't thrown the rock at him, he wouldn't have attacked her. While he denied that he had sexually assaulted the girl, he did admit to state employees that he had beaten her up so badly because he was trying to keep her from remembering anything.

Sherman pled guilty on the 10th of August, 2007, to sodomy, attempted rape, kidnapping and assault.

In what seems like an attempt at dissuading future youthful offenders, now-15-year-old Sherman Burnett Jr. was sentenced to 60 years in prison after the judge mentioned that was how long the victim felt her attacker should be locked up.

The judge gave him 20 years for each count of child kidnapping and assault and 10 years for sodomy and attempted rape.

Sherman will be unable to be paroled until he serves at least 85 percent of his sentence. This means he will be in prison for the next 51 years.

When told he would spend the rest of his life in prison, he seemed to have no problem with it, accepting his fate in true stoic fashion .

His parents, on the other hand, were quite upset. Allegedly, Sherman was also terror in his neighborhood and according to witnesses, his older parents seemed afraid of him. He allegedly ran the household and it's rumored he regularly knocked down little old ladies and stole their purses and groceries. Snagged from Panache Report

11 Year Old Robs a Walgreen In Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. -- An 11-year-old boy was taken into custody after police said he robbed a Metrowest Walgreens store with what looked like two handguns.

Officers said the 11-year-old boy walked into a Walgreens store on Kirkman Road near Raleigh Street at about 3:30 a.m. and demanded money.

A veteran lieutenant said the incident left him shaking his head, especially since the child walked into the business alone.

One of the workers in the Walgreens called 911 while the robbery was still in progress.

Orlando officers were able to catch the 11-year-old as he ran from the store, police said.

The pistols in the boy's possession turned out to be BB guns, but the child did get money from the store's register, police said.

When Bernie said those words I knew he was the man.

Bernie Mac passed today of complications with Pneumonia. Every since he left the Bernie Mac Show due to illness; I often wondered how he was doing healthwise.

The first time I remember seeing Bernie Mac he was on HBO's Def Comedy Jam. Those original seasons of the show were some of the funniest comedy ever. I remember seeing Bernie perform with his dark chocolate "heavy structured" looking self. He wasn't the cutest in the bunch but something about him always made him stand out to me.

He will be truly missed. God Bless his family. RIP Bernie Mac
