Christopher Martin, b.k.a. Play of Kid-N-Play and the House Party franchise, was seriously injured in a car crash this Saturday. His car was hit by a mortally wounded driver who was fleeing the police. The fugitive was shot by officers following a home invasion with two other suspects.

It’s a shame that we only hear about people when there is a tragedy. It’s good to know that he can walk away from this alive.

Obama Won Iowa

Barack Obama takes the lead in the Iowa caucuses beating out John Edwards by four points and sh*tting on Hilary Clinton by seven. Even little old white ladies in the Midwest recognize that he’s the best man for the job. This is just a preview of more to come.

I'm not a big political person, but I definately either want Barack or Hilary in office. Way to go Barak...

No Charges Filed Against Brandy

Earlier this year R&B singer Brandy was involved in a multi-car, fatal accident on an LA freeway. At the time, stories were swirling that Brandy caused the crash and that she'd be charged with vehicular homicide or reckless driving or something and the husband and parents of the victim immediately filed multi-million dollar wrongful death suits against Brandy. Well, it turns out Brandy wasn't at fault and won't be facing any charges. The accident investigation showed that the woman who was killed caused the multi-car pile up when she smashed into the car in front of her [toxicology reports showed traces of Marijuana in her system] so all those lawsuits filed against Brandy will be dropped

Two days ago TNU reported exclusively that the Chris Stokes camp had opted not to take legal action against Raz B and his brother Ricky Romance for their molestation allegations. Why? Maybe it's because you can only claim defamation, when someone's said something that isn't true? Or perhaps because any litigation would have led to all kinds of skeletons getting yanked out of the TUG closet?As we reported, this matter will be played out entirely in the court of public perception. ****EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION****I'm on the phone with my dear friend and top Hollywood publicist, who is probably as close to this situation as one can get without being in the family. She says that Stokes and the Thornton brothers have decided to reach a financial agreement. An agreement that will include "project deals" for both brothers. According to her sources Stokes has been physically ill since the allegations of molestation were weighed against him. In fact, several business deals, including a film were jeopardized as a result. "Everyone was coming out of the woodworks, making claims against Chris, and it just wasn't good for business. The reason DeMario and Ricky spoke out in the first place is because Chris had been dissing them for years. He made a lot of promises that he didn't keep, and they brought the ghosts of the past out."This is a sad, tawdry situation, y'all. No real winners. It seems like both sides decided to take the path of least resistance. For Raz and Ricky pursuing a criminal case against Stokes with only circumstantial evidence (if that), would have been an expensive, uphill battle. A Whole Family is Arrested Regarding Sagging Pants in Florida

A family of six was arrested at a Florida mall last week following a melee that cops said was prompted by sagging pants, the Palm Beach Post reported Monday.

It took about 20 deputies, a canine unit and a police helicopter to apprehend the Leger family, who got involved in the fracas on Dec. 27 after Frantz Leger, 20, was arrested for trespassing at The Mall at Wellington Green, the Post reported. Leger had reportedly been banned from the mall over the summer after wearing baggy pants.

The family came to the parking lot of the mall’s food court as Florida State University business sophomore Frantz Leger was being arrested and attempted to stop it. Family members allegedly began pushing, scratching, kicking, screaming and cursing at cops, according to law enforcement records obtained by the Post.

Marthe Leger, Frantz's 50-year-old mother, allegedly pushed two deputies to keep them from arresting and Tasing her nephew, who had allegedly assaulted a deputy during the brawl, according to the arrest report obtained by the paper. She was also accused of kicking and attempting to pull away from a deputy during her arrest.

Frantz’s father Joseph, 52, threatened to kill deputies and later began to scratch and kick during his arrest, according to the Post. Frantz’s sister Samantha, 18, reportedly screamed and cursed at a surrounding crowd and attempted to push past an officer. There was no information available on a 16-year-old juvenile or Frantz Leger’s cousin Alain Odige, 19, who was charged with trespassing, the Post reported.

The Leger family contends that deputies were out of line, the Post reported.

Marthe Leger, who had a bruise on her cheek, told the Post she was punched multiple times in the face by a deputy as she tried to photograph the melee with her cell phone. Joseph Leger told the paper that he was punched in the back of the head.

Eddie Murphy & Tracy Edmonds Marry

According to PEOPLE, comedian/actor Eddie Murphy and movie/tv producer Tracey Edmonds are officially husband and wife. It’s been reported that the two got married on New Year’s Day on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of 25 close friends and family.

In a sunset ceremony on the beach Tuesday, Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight’s “Makings of You.” The bride wore a custom-designed form-fitting dress by stylist and designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci, designer and owner of Baracci boutique. Murphy wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief. Among the guests were best man Johnny Gill, maid of honor Nicole Avant, matron of honor Julie Lev, as well as Edmonds’s parents Jacqueline and George McQuarn, her brother Michael, Murphy’s mother Lillian Lynch and his brother Vernon.

Edmonds, 40, gave her bridesmaids gold and diamond earrings from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills, and Murphy, 46, gave his groomsmen D.Atlantis watches. The wedding was designed by event designer Colin Cowie, who created a gazebo on the beach made out of 6,000 shells for the ceremony. After the ceremony, guests celebrated at a private dinner and after-party, where DJ Darrin Ebron from Los Angeles kept the guests dancing. The wedding cake was by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings in Napa, CA, and featured four layers in whites and cream with handmade sugar cymbidium and dendrobium orchids.

Eddie Murphy recently divorced his wife, Nicole Murphy, and Tracey Edmonds just got through with a divorce from her husband, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Eddie and Tracey have been dating since last fall, and have been engaged since July.
