Lil Wayne and Lauren London Engaged????

WRESTLER WAS SEX TRAFFICKER

Former pro wrestler Harrison ``Hardbody'' Norris Junior is on trial on federal charges that he kept nine women as sex slaves in his two north Georgia homes. Prosecutors contend that the 41-year-old lured homeless women with offers to train them as wrestlers, then forced them, sometimes by violence, into prostitution. He is charged with violating an anti-human trafficking law. The trial began last week. Prosecution witnesses have testified about bloody head butts, mind games and forced orgies in which women had to have sex with up to eight men at a single gathering. Norris has contended the women willingly entered his two Cartersville homes living with his wife and one of his three children because they wanted to train as pro wrestlers. He says many of them arrived on drugs and left in the best shape of their lives. Acting as his own attorney, Norris has cross-examined his alleged victims and successfully lodged objections. Harris was indicted in 2005 after federal agents raided his homes. Harris was convicted and can face up to 20 years in prison.

Mannie Fresh's Sister Murdered

Angela Bryant, sister to former Cash Money Records producer Mannie Fresh, was reportedly found dead in her New Orleans home yesterday morning (November 29).

According to Louisiana’s WWLTV, Bryant, who was a newlywed, was shot and killed in her residence while her two children were inside.

Police believe that Bryant was killed on Wednesday (November 28) night between 10pm-12pm. Bryant’s mother revealed that it was her daughter's birthday on Wednesday and they had gone to dinner earlier.

Police said that Bryant’s children, whose ages are 2 and 7, are in a safe location and healthy. Bryant’s husband was out of town when the murder occurred.

The authorities also revealed it was too early to say if the murder resulted from a home invasion or if Bryant knew the killer. They did confirm that there was no forced entry into the house.
“We have not drawn any conclusions and we haven’t made any eliminations,” said Assistant Superintendent Marlon Defillo. “It’s a work in progress”.

Police revealed that Bryant’s car, a black 1998 Lexus LS 400 with tinted windows, is missing. The car’s license plate is PTF 205. Crimestoppers is offering a $2500 reward for any information that would lead to an arrest.

Teen suicide spurs war on child prostitution

Nykita Hurt answers emails at a computer at a home, next to brochure of her support group for parents of child prostitutes, in Ellenwood, Georgia November 15, 2007.

ATLANTA (Reuters) - At the age of 15, Samantha Walker was lured into prostitution on the streets of Toledo, Ohio, then taken against her will to Atlanta.

What makes her story different from thousands of others is that she testified against one of the men who paid for sex with her, helping to send him to prison.

But just weeks after the trial she took an overdose of drugs she was taking for depression and died at the age of 18.

More than 300,000 children are being sexually exploited in the United States, according to a study by the University of Pennsylvania.

Many of them end up in Atlanta, which authorities say has become a hub for prostitution in part because its busy airport makes it a destination for men seeking sex.

Where in the past pimps advertised the girls who worked for them on the walls of men's rest rooms or on street corners, these days they use online bulletin boards like craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org/).
Customers set up liaisons after seeing girls on the sites, and then pay the girl or the pimp directly on the street, according to the Atlanta Police Vice Department.
Solomon Gort, a married man with two children, a white-collar job and a home in Atlanta's suburbs, offered Walker's pimp $50 for oral sex with her in June 2004.

He forced her to have intercourse at a highway rest stop, then took her against her will to a motel, from which she escaped and called the police. Gort was convicted of false imprisonment and soliciting sex with a minor and sentenced to six years in prison.

NO SPACE AT SHELTER

After the trial, Walker wanted to stay in Atlanta, but returned to Toledo partly because the only facility in the southeastern United States for former child prostitutes, Angela's House outside Atlanta, had no space.

Confronting a hometown where she first worked as a prostitute, she committed suicide.

"The courts don't have the resources for kids like Samantha," said Debra Espy, the deputy district attorney who worked with Walker. "It's a national disgrace."

Walker is just one of many who have been lured into prostitution by pimps who exploit the fears and low self esteem of young girls who often come from dysfunctional families.

Nykita Hurt, a middle-class professional with a gentle voice, is still in turmoil after her daughter, Brandi, ran away from home in 1998 at the age of 14 to become a prostitute in Atlanta.

"I spend a lot of sleepless nights and a lot of unproductive days," Hurt said. "You just think, 'Where is my child?'"

Brandi grew up with a slight disability and low self-esteem. In 1998, she met a man on a telephone chat line. One day, when Hurt was at work, he came to their house and had sex with Brandi.

"Shortly after that, whoever this guy was pretty much talked her into it. He saw how immature she was and that there was conflict between us and he took advantage of that," Hurt said.
Now Brandi only calls when she needs money.

NOT IN MY CITY

For law enforcement authorities in Atlanta, Walker's courage and suicide have made her a heroine, and they are using her story to spur new efforts to crack down on child predators.

Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin is leading a drive against child prostitution under the banner of a "No more, not in my city."

Prosecutors have started to bring felony rather than misdemeanor charges against men who use child prostitutes.

"When a child is involved, we can no longer politely call these men 'johns.' They are panderers, child molesters and felons," said Paul Howard, district attorney of Fulton County, which includes downtown Atlanta.

Franklin wrote to craigslist founder Craig Newmark and Chief Executive Jim Buckmaster in August, urging them to remove postings of women engaged in activity that broke Georgia law and called on other mayors to file similar protests.

Buckmaster said the company "shares Mayor Franklin's concerns and are evaluating her suggestions."

The site warns its users that it prohibits illegal activity but he added: "We do not monitor the content of more than 25 million free postings craigslist users self-publish each month."

Since Walker's death, Georgia's human resources department has announced it will open a 52-bed center for sexually-exploited girls in Dekalb County, east of Atlanta, this year to help girls emerging from prostitution.

Facing such problems such as sexually-transmitted diseases, drug and alcohol addiction, low self esteem and lack of education, few former child prostitutes lead productive lives and many go back on the streets or wind up in prison.
One exception is "Anna" who testified against her pimp Andrew Moore in Atlanta in 2002 in a federal trial.

Anna, whose real name has not been released, told a court another pimp sold her to Moore when she was 12 years old. He tied her spread-eagled to a bed in his home for two weeks before she was rescued by an aunt.

Moore was convicted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and sentenced to 40 years in prison.

For Espy, the deputy district attorney who worked with Walker and grew to care about her, the focus is now on trying to get other girls off the streets.

"She died a sudden death. Other vulnerable young girls are dying inch by inch," Espy said.

Drag Queen Gang Got Caught

Police in Memphis are on the lookout for 3 drag queens that caused a fight at a local McDonald's. The McDonald's in South Mendenhall was the place to be last night. It all started when an argument broke out with the 3 drag queens and a McD's employee at the drive-thru window. The 3 hot bitches then jumped out of the car and blew into the restaurant ready to rumble.

An employee said, "He swung and hit my manager, manager swung and hit back, so they step back, get to takin' off they shoes, boots and whatever else they had to do to get satisfied to fight."

The fight went on for several minutes. That's when the manager grabbed a pot of hot french fry grease and threw it at the drag queens. They retaliated by hitting the manager over the head with a "wet floor sign" sending him to the hospital.

Before getting away in their car the drag queens smashed the drive-thru window.

That lesbian gang has some competition! When I was reading this article, I pictured the fight with a Disco soundtrack in the background. Those drag queen bitches are so hot. You better hide your good wigs, because they are coming for you!

The police should just pull out a boombox and play any random Donna Summer song and that will bring those whores out! Drag queens love Donna Summer.
UPDATE:
Earlier I posted about three drag queens that started a fight in a Memphis McDonald's. They sent the manager to the hospital after hitting him over the head with a "wet floor" sign. Those hot bitches were caught and arrested!

Danny Mitchell, Lynn Gillespie and Dacorian Greer were charged with aggravated assault. But what were their drag queen names?

The employees also added that they hit the manager with a tire iron and kicked employees with their stiletto boots.

Those are some fugly ass drag queens. Jesus, give us a little glamour in your mug shot. That manager is going to hear it from his friends forever. Getting beat down by 3 drag queens at your own job?

Birdman Gets Arrested

Cash Money Records founders, Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams and his brother Ronald ‘Godfather’ Williams, were among sixteen people arrested on marijuana charges during a traffic stop in Kingsport, Tennessee yesterday evening (November 28). According to The Kingsport Times-News, Kingsport police pulled over a rented RV which was carrying the brothers and their entourage on Interstate 81 after it made an improper lane change. The police said they smelled marijuana from inside the RV and upon searching the vehicle they found a pound of weed in the RV's kitchenette. All sixteen people in the RV including Birdman’s 18-year-old wife, Brittany Williams, were charged with possession of over 1/2 ounce of marijuana. The group said they were headed from New Orleans to New York for a BET shoot. Also seized during the search were a 9mm handgun, a 2-23 carbine assault rifle and a .45-cal. handgun. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) were added to the investigation after the guns were discovered. No weapons charges had been filed at press time. KPD Corporal Tim Horne, who conducted the search of the RV, said that the vehicle was taken to secure location to be thoroughly searched to determine if there are more drugs or weapons aboard. Police also revealed that several of the vehicle’s occupants had about $1,000 in cash in hand, some had about as $5,000. They said that the approximated $12,000 to $15,000 won’t be seized unless Officer Kevin Hite and K-9 Odus detect the smell of marijuana on it. "They're all somehow employed as either a rapper or with the company Cash Money Records,” Horne said of the vehicle’s occupants.

Update: Here are mugshot's of Birdman's 18 year old wife & His Brother:

Sean Taylor of the Washington Redskins Dies

MIAMI - Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died early Tuesday, a day after the Pro Bowl player was shot at home by what police say was an intruder. He was 24. Family friend Richard Sharpstein said Taylor's father told him the news around 5:30 a.m.

"His father called and said he was with Christ and he cried and thanked me," said Sharpstein, Taylor's former lawyer. "It's a tremendously sad and unnecessary event. He was a wonderful, humble, talented young man, and had a huge life in front of him. Obviously God had other plans."

Taylor died at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he had been airlifted after the shooting early Monday, Sharpstein said.

Two carloads of mourners, including the athlete's father, arrived at the house Tuesday morning. They remained inside and did not speak to reporters. A single bouquet of flowers was left by a palm tree just outside a front gate. Beside the mailbox, an untouched newspaper lay with news of Taylor's shooting.

Doctors had been encouraged late Monday when Taylor squeezed a nurse's hand, according to Vinny Cerrato, the Redskins' vice president of football operations. But Sharpstein said he was told Taylor never regained consciousness after being transported to the hospital and that he wasn't sure how he had squeezed the nurse's hand.

"Maybe he was trying to say goodbye or something," Sharpstein said.

Taylor, the fifth overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft following an All-American season at the University of Miami, was shot early Monday in the upper leg, damaging the key femoral artery and causing significant blood loss.

"According to a preliminary investigation, it appears that the victim was shot inside the home by an intruder," Miami-Dade County police said in a statement. "We do not have a subject description at this time."

But police were still investigating the attack, which came just eight days after an intruder was reported at Taylor's home. Officers were sent to the home about 1:45 a.m. Monday after Taylor's girlfriend called 911.

Sharpstein said Taylor's girlfriend told him the couple was awakened by loud noises, and Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor, Sharpstein said. Taylor's 1-year-old daughter, Jackie, was also in the house, but neither she nor Taylor's girlfriend were injured.

Police found signs of forced entry, but have not determined if they were caused Monday, or the previous burglary.

The shooting happened in the pale yellow house he bought two years ago. Eight days before the attack someone pried open a front window, rifled through drawers and left a kitchen knife on a bed at Taylor's home, according to police.

"They're really sifting through that incident and today's incident," Miami-Dade Detective Mario Rachid said, "to see if there's any correlation."

Taylor's death comes nearly a year after Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting following an argument at a Denver nightclub on Jan. 1. University of Miami defensive lineman Bryan Pata was shot to death in November 2006 several miles from Taylor's home in an unsolved killing.

Taylor starred as a running back and defensive back at Gulliver Prep in Miami. His father, Pedro Taylor, is police chief of Florida City.

A private man with a small inner circle, Taylor rarely granted interviews. But, behind the scenes, Taylor was described as personable and smart — an emerging locker room leader.

"From the first day I met him, from then to now, it's just like night and day," Redskins receiver James Thrash said Monday. "He's really got his head on his shoulders and has been doing really well as far as just being a man. It's been awesome to see that growth."

After Taylor was drafted, problems soon began. Taylor fired his agent, then skipped part of the NFL's mandatory rookie symposium, drawing a $25,000 fine. Driving home late from a party during the season, he was pulled over and charged with drunken driving. The case was dismissed in court, but by then it had become a months-long distraction for the Redskins.

Taylor also was fined at least seven times for late hits, uniform violations and other infractions over his first three seasons, including a $17,000 penalty for spitting in the face of Tampa Bay running back Michael Pittman during a 2006 playoff game.

Meanwhile, Taylor endured a yearlong legal battle after he was accused in 2005 of brandishing a gun at a man during a fight over allegedly stolen all-terrain vehicles near Taylor's home. He eventually pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors and was sentenced to 18 months' probation.

Taylor said the end of the assault case was like "a gray cloud" being lifted. It was also around the time that his daughter was born, and teammates noticed a change.

"It's hard to expect a man to grow up overnight," said teammate and close friend Clinton Portis, who played with Taylor at Miami. "But ever since he had his child, it was like a new Sean, and everybody around here knew it. He was always smiling, always happy, always talking about his child."

On the field, Taylor's play was often erratic. Assistant coach Gregg Williams frequently called Taylor the best athlete he'd ever coached, but nearly every big play was mitigated by a blown assignment. Taylor led the NFL in missed tackles in 2006 yet made the Pro Bowl because of his reputation as one of the hardest hitters in the league.

This year, however, Taylor was allowed to play a true free safety position, using his speed and power to chase down passes and crush would-be receivers. His five interceptions tie for the league lead in the NFC, even though he missed the last two games because of a sprained knee.

"I just take this job very seriously," Taylor said in a rare group interview during training camp. "It's almost like, you play a kid's game for a king's ransom. And if you don't take it serious enough, eventually one day you're going to say, 'Oh, I could have done this, I could have done that.'

"So I just say, 'I'm healthy right now, I'm going into my fourth year, and why not do the best that I can?' And that's whatever it is, whether it's eating right or training myself right, whether it's studying harder, whatever I can do to better myself."

His hard work was well-noted.

"He loved football. He felt like that's what he was made to do," Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said. "And I think what I've noticed over the last year and a half ... is he matured. I think his baby had a huge impact on him. There was a real growing up in his life."

A Cover Girl Who’s Simply Himself

AROUND THE TOWN From far left: Andre J. attending a party in his honor at Runway; posing with Malik Sterling, a regular on the Manhattan social scene, at an event for Patrick McMullan’s book “Glamour Girls” in September; at a party in April.

WHAT follows is, in brief (well, not so brief), the curious tale of how a handsome black man who can also look an awful lot like a beautiful black woman, except with better legs than most and a beard, happened to end up on the November cover of French Vogue.

David X. Prutting/Patrick McMullan
THAT SMILE, THAT HAIR Think of Andre J. as rolling out his own stage every day.
The time was summer 2007. The man, who goes by the name Andre J., and who was born Andre Johnson 28 years ago in Newark, and who is a sometime party promoter and former perfume salesclerk at Lord & Taylor and former publicist at Patricia Field’s boutique and current downtown personage (an “It” person, as he was termed in Paper magazine), was running out of his apartment on Thompson Street in the Village for lunch.

It was a hot day. On this particular scorcher, Andre J. had chosen to stay cool in a neon green caftan and gold gladiator sandals. His hair, which, pulled taut, measures 24 inches in length and which he usually wears in a bouffant nimbus that gives him the appearance, as a magazine stylist recently remarked, of “a big Afro-daisy,” was dressed that day in a 1970s Wet & Wild style and covered in a enormous white turban à la Nina Simone.

This was not an unusual grab-a-sandwich ensemble, as Andre J. is quick to point out. “That’s me every day, honey,” Andre J. said on Friday, right before a party at a club called Runway to honor his election to the elite cover girl sorority, Gallic chapter.

“Most people are conditioned to think of a black man looking a certain way,” Andre J. went on. “They only think of the ethnic man in XXX jeans and Timberlands, and here Andre J. comes along with a pair of hot shorts and a caftan or maybe flip-flops or cowboy boots or a high, high heel.”

And so, Andre J. was running out for a sandwich and who should he bump into but Joe McKenna, the stylist who is the secret weapon behind the success of many, many very celebrated designers? Mr. McKenna was on the phone at the time. The person on the other end was Bruce Weber, the celebrated photographer of, among other things, dreamily homoerotic calendar art for Abercrombie & Fitch.

When Mr. McKenna spotted Andre J., he immediately put Mr. Weber on hold. Mr. McKenna then called out to Andre J., whom he had met before and had once suggested for a V magazine pictorial photographed by Vinoodh Matadin and Inez van Lamsweerde.
“Andre,” said Mr. McKenna, “you look amazing!”

ACTUALLY, he did not say it in quite that way. It happens that the adjective “amazing,” pronounced with a bunch of superfluous vowels, is how fashion types, and also certain urban gay men and also one or two tuned-in heterosexual copycats, lately express their approval. Amazing has replaced such locutions as “genius” and “major,” which today sound even more old-hat than “fabulous.”

“You look amaaaaazing,” Mr. McKenna said. And, of course, Andre J. did. “I always do,” remarked the man who appeared in that V magazine pictorial wearing a Farrah Fawcett-style coiffure and a gold necklace that read “Legendary” and skinny, skinny Judi Rosen cigarette jeans, and who, for a time, had a day job at a boutique on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, where his usual work uniform was a big fur hat and a beige fishnet shirt with a lot of holes in it and jeans so low cut that they exposed the pubic hair that he has since shaved off, and who has also appeared three times on Jay Leno, in cameo segments devoted to human curiosities.

“I went to L.A. for a while for the sex and the fame,” said Andre J., who, as if life were a lyric from a Burt Bacharach song, happened in those early years of this century to live for a time in a $60 a night motel on Sunset Strip, a situation that required him to change clothes after work each night, so as not to be mistaken on the street for a transsexual prostitute.

This is perhaps the place to mention that Andre J. does not consider himself a cross dresser. Except to the extent each of us getting dressed assumes some kind of persona, his style is not drag. He is not a person in regard to whom the prefix “trans-” obtains. It is simply that Andre J., who was raised in a loving single-mother household in a housing project in Newark with the uplifting name Academy Spires, is in no sense confined by the conventions of gender. Think of him as a performance artist who rolls out his own stage every day.

“I’m just expressing myself and not hurting anyone and taking myself to a place where I want to be, a place where the world is beautiful,” said Andre J., who decided that, having conquered Hollywood, in his manner, it was time to return home. “I packed up all my hot shorts, which really didn’t require all that much packing,” he said.

He returned not to Newark but to the Village and to Thompson Street and got jobs as a party host at Lotus on Tuesdays and Hiro on Sundays and continued to write in the journal he has kept for years. “Journaling” as he calls it, is a key to understanding the “positivity and optimism” that Andre J. says is what draws people to him, and also a way for him to “write things that I need to say that I can’t say to anyone, but that, if I put them on paper, go into the universe for the universe to hear.”

The universe was apparently picking up the Andre J. signal on that afternoon last summer, because Mr. McKenna said to Mr. Weber, as Andre J. tells it, “You have to see Andre and shoot him.” At the time, Andre J. smiled politely, and remained inwardly less positive. “This is New York City, honey,” he said. “Everybody will tell you everything.” Then he went and got lunch.

To the surprise of Andre J., and ultimately of people accustomed to seeing the same bland blonds on fashion magazine covers, the next thing that happened, after an interval of several weeks, was that an assistant to Mr. Weber called Andre and said, “Bruce would like to set up some time with you,” and Andre J. went to that meeting in a caftan over a pair of black jeweled panties and Mr. Weber took three Polaroid pictures and Andre left and soon thereafter received another call, from the assistant again, to say that Mr. Weber would like Andre J. to come to Montauk to be photographed for French Vogue.

“I did not know what to say,” Andre J. said. “Actually, I did know what to say. I said, ‘Yes.’”
And so it was that Andre J. — who had most recently been style-channeling Cher and compulsively Google-searching the late Detroit-born model and beauty and heroin addict Donyale Luna, and evolving his personal appearance to express what he thinks of as “a 60s, not mod, but mod-ish, and hippie look” that also contains elements of 1970s blaxploitation films — found his way to Mr. Weber’s compound by bus.

“The night before, honey, I prayed and I journaled,” he said. “Discretion and decorum is always important to Andre J., but when I got there and I saw Carolyn Murphy and Carine Roitfeld,” he added, referring to, respectively, the model and the editor of French Vogue, “I almost wanted to faint.”

He did not faint. He kept his composure. “I wanted to experience that beautiful day in pure bliss,” he said, “So I did not impose my own thoughts or views.”

This is just as well since Ms. Roitfeld has strong style views of her own, including the opinion that the pictures Mr. Weber shot with Andre J. seemed, as she said this week, “the more fresh” of the various images they captured.

“There is not a special message in the cover, I just loved it,” said Ms. Roitfeld, who on that hot sticky day in Montauk gave Andre J. some ankle boots to wear and a big cocktail ring and a blue neoprene Burberry trench coat that showed off his unbelievable legs.

“It fit like a glove and it was immediately showtime,” Andre J said.

James Brown was playing on the set as Mr. Weber shot Andre J. spinning like, as he put it, Diana Ross in “Mahogany.” He shot him next with Ms. Murphy. Then he thanked him, and Andre J. got dressed again in his travel caftan and went back to New York.

MONTHS passed and Andre J. was coming home from church one Sunday when a friend called to give him the news that he was on the cover of French Vogue.

“I said, ‘This is not funny, don’t play with me,’” said Andre J. “Then my friend said, ‘Google.’ And I went home and Googled and, you know what? There I was, honey, right where my heroes like Madonna and Mario Testino and Steven Klein can see me. Anything you love you can sell, honey, and I sold it. Andre J. is a part of history.”

Baby Burned on BarBQue Grill

November 26, 2007. (AP) Two years ago, 1-year-old Deante Reid died in his parents' care -- and, to avoid funeral costs, his parents tried to cremate him in a barbecue grill, police say.But the bones wouldn't burn completely, so police said the couple hid what was left of the baby in the ceiling of a home on Dickerson in Detroit. The bizarre discovery turned up Friday as Detroit police investigated injuries to another 1-year-old boy, who turned out to be Deante's brother, police said. The boys' parents -- Nickella Reid, 24, and Joseph Miller, 27 -- were arraigned Saturday in 36th District Court in Detroit on charges of first- and second-degree child abuse.Police and prosecutors are weighing whether to add more charges in connection with the cremated baby.Details of the 2-year-old death came to light Sunday as detectives continued to investigate the case. The living 1-year-old suffered burns over one-third of his body. He is in fair condition, police said."The allegation is he was severely abused," said Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Maria Miller, who is not related to Joseph Miller.Police said Reid told investigators that Miller, her boyfriend, scalded their son in the kitchen in their home on Lillibridge in Detroit, causing the burns.Reid then told police of her previous son's death and directed them to Miller's sister's home on Lappin, but the sister directed them to a third house on Dickerson, where Deante's remains had been sealed in the ceiling. The parents' explanations differ as to how Deante died, police said. An anthropologist will try to determine the cause of death based on the fragmented bones.Reid is being held at the Wayne County Jail on a $400,000 bond. Miller's bond on the child-abuse charges is $700,000, but no bond was set on unrelated drug charges, so he won't be freed from jail. The couple face a Dec. 4 court hearing. Miller is to appear today in Wayne County Circuit Court on the drug charges.

NEWS: MISSISSPPI COLLEGE STUDENT MISSING FOR A WEEK

JACKSON, Miss. — A college student has been missing for a week, and this city’s police chief says her race is the reason her disappearance hasn’t gotten more attention.

Latasha Norman, who is black, was last seen November 13 in one of her classes at Jackson State University. Her car was left on the campus, and the 20-year-old never returned to her dormitory room.

Luther Samuel, a detective with the campus police, said investigators have combed the campus and have been searching all over the state, but no sightings of Norman have been reported.

Police say they have no suspects. Among the people they have questioned are her current boyfriend and an ex-boyfriend who was charged Thursday with hitting Norman last month.

Jackson Police Chief Malcolm McMillin said Norman’s disappearance should get “the same kind of concern” as that of Stacy Peterson, 23, a white woman from suburban Chicago who has been missing for three weeks.

Back Into the Swing of Things

Hey Guys, It's been a really wild holiday weekend. I've been off from work since Wednesday of last week; cooking, cleaning, loving and celebrating, so coming back today was a real experience.

I had a great holiday weekend though. Not only did we celebrate Thanksgiving but we also celebrated the upcoming Christmas arrival of my granddaughter Saniya with a Baby Shower. My dad and brothers along with their familes came down from Virginia and Baltimore. My sister and her family came from Atlanta and one of my favorite uncles "Uncle John" made it as well

Because of all the festivities I haven't posted in about a week. But it's back on. New pics will be up soon.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving.....

Ne-Yo Gets Booted Off the R-Kelly Tour

November 20, 2007. The R Kelly concert tour is plagued with drama. First R&B singer Keyshia Cole refused to take the stage in Columbus Georgia. Now we can report to you that Ne-Yo has been OFFICIALLY booted from the tour. Here's the official press release:

ATLANTA, GA – Yesterday, Shaffer Smith aka Ne-Yo was informed that he was being dropped from the rest of the R Kelly tour after delivering two sensational performances. Entertainment reporters, music critics, bloggers, fans, and concert goers all agreed that Ne-Yo's performances brought the heat; but maybe it brought too much heat. "He's written hit songs for Beyonce "Irreplaceable" and Rihanna "Unfaithful" (spending a combined 19 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100), said Tango, Ne-Yo's business partner and manager. He's written songs slated to be on Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, and Enrique Iglesias' new albums. In a recent article in Ebony Magazine, the king of pop, Michael Jackson, referred to him as one of the artists that impresses him most. The fans were really feeling his performances. He's good; maybe he's too good – that's the problem."It seems like déjà vu – didn't R Kelly have drama on his last tour. R Kelly's camp sited the lack of a signed contract as the reason for removing Ne-Yo from the line up. "I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing, said Ne-Yo. In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show." Ne-Yo expressed genuine concern regarding not having the opportunity to complete the tour. He wanted all of his fans and supporters to be able to see him live. "To my fans and ticket holders – I apologize if you are disappointed."

This Man is Delirious

Eddie Goes to Court and Doesn't Want to See His Daughter Angel Ever!!!! WTF

Oh wow....Eddie Murphy is really tripping. I can not believe this. How in the world can Tracy Edmonds date a man who would feel such a thing. How could someone say such a thing. Even the folks on Maury say "Well if it's mines-I'll do right" this is crazy. If it's true. I will never ever watch another one of Eddie's movies-why would any parent want there child to watch his movies behaving the way he is.
Read Below:

Last week Mel B and Eddie Murphy's lawyers met in an LA courtroom to work out child support and visitation rights for their daughter, Angel Iris Murphy. Mel was planning to take Angel to the courthouse to meet Eddie for the first time and was disappointed that he chose not to make a personal appearance and downright furious when the case had to be adjourned for 3 months because Eddie refused to submit a support offer. However, he and his lawyers made one thing abundantly clear. There will be no visitation...PERIOD. Eddie does not want to see Angel..ever.

Wyclef Confirms Past Relationship with Lauryn Hill & Her Illness

*Wyclef Jean confirmed his relationship with Lauryn Hill during a visit to Power 92 Chicago's the Chocolate Jock Morning Jump-off show.

According to co-host Kendra G, Wyclef said he believes the eccentric behavior of his former Fugees bandmate is due to a bi-polar condition, and not drug use as rumors have suggested.

Clef also claimed Hill's Grammy-winning album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" was dedicated to him.

As a response, Wyclef said he recorded the track "Someone Please Call 911" with Mary J. Blige.

Wyclef stated, "So I would say that after our relationship she went through whatever she had to go through but this is like 14years later…she gotta get it straight!"

Shaunie and Shaq Take the Kids Out!!!

November 19, 2007. Just when you thought that the Shaquille and Shaunie O'Neal divorce saga couldn't get any stranger, this happens. Shaq and Shaunie may be on the verge of reconciling. Shaquille and his wife Shaunie were out together yesterday - with the children at WWE's Survivor Series. More than a dozen of our faithful readers spotted the two of them at the popular wrestling event. And one of our readers witnessed the legally separated couple looking very much like a happy couple. A tipster told MediaTakeOut.com, "They were holding hands and walking like one happy family ... it was good to see."But there's more. If Shaunie decides to take back her ball playing husband, it doesn't look like she'll have to worry about any new step-children. According to one of our insider snitches, Shaq does NOT have a pregnant girlfriend. The source tells MediaTakeOut.com, "Shaq and [the woman] took care of that .... He's no longer having a child, and she's no longer having to work."
I wish the two of them luck with their relationship. Divorce can be so hard on all involved.

Guess Who?? I Kinda Recognised Her

I know you probably spent some serious time trying to figure out if this was Mama Whitney going through hard times again, Tameka Foster, or some random lady off the street, I realized it is indeed Ms. Patti LaBelle. She hit the streets makeupless and damn near unrecognizable.

Elise Neal in King Magazine

Elise Neal has her moments, sometimes she's hot and sometimes she is superhot - in the pics, she is superhot! Below are excerpts from her interview with King magazine:

KING: Although this is your fourth KING shoot, it’s your first cover. Consider this your coronation.

ELISE: I’m happy to be in the Hollywood issue. I loveseeing the theatrics that can come from a shoot. That’s what makes it excitingfor me. But this wasn’t an easy shoot. I’m playing the victim, the one thatpeople are trying to kill. And those ropes, the duct tape and being tied up wasa lot. I was in pain a couple of times for real.

KING: You were one of the first to break the “video chick” curse by establishing a credible acting career. That’s like seeing Sasquatch:

ELISE: The journey was weird for me because I didn’t want to act. I wanted to sing, dance and be on stage. I wanted to be on Broadway. When I got started, the ’90s was a big period in hip-hop and R&B, and a lot of the choreographers that I worked with were doing music videos as well as musical-theater jobs. That’s how I got into videos.

Kanye Breaks Down During Performance - After the Death of His Mom

VIDEO: KANYE WEST TRIES TO PERFORM - BUT BREAKS DOWN ON STAGE!!!

November 18, 2007. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that last night, rapper Kanye West attempted to perform in front of a live audience in Paris, France. And he reportedly broke down on stage.

Here's how French newspaper Le Parisian reports it:

He said the word, 'Mother' and just couldn't go any further. A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn't continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying while the band continued playing.

Kanye then reportedly walked off the stage, regained his composure and returned to perform his hit song Stronger

The French paper described his return to the stage as follows:

He was very nervous, seemed to have gathered himself up, and had a lot of energy. He kept shouting out to the audience, 'I need you... I need you right now.' and the public was screaming back. It was magic.
Kanye’s scheduled to perform in Brussels tonight, and will head back to the U.S. for his mother’s funeral this Tuesday in Oklahoma City. He will then return to Europe for another show that is scheduled for Thursday. This dude just lost his mom and he’s still delivering for his fans. Now that’s what I call a TRUE entertainer. He’s a very strong individual. I just cannot imagine losing my mother so suddenly and still being able to “go on” this soon. Keep your head up, Kanye. On behalf of everyone involved with Think2wice (readers included) we all are rooting for you!

They Don't Like Bloggers

Actresses Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and Gabrielle Union are on the cover of this month's ESSENCE Magazine. Gabrielle Union had a few choice words for bloggers who take the time out to pay her any attention at all

Gabrielle: And now because everyone is clamoring for celebrity tidbits, the bigger gossip sites and even mainstream entities are picking up on it. No fact-checking, no nothing. And in one week’s time, there were like five different dudes, a baby—I’m a homewrecker. In literally seven days. I can’t point the finger at the White media. They don’t care about us. Paparazzi are not staked out in front of any of our houses. They are not going through our garbage because they don’t care about us in that way. So when you hear crap about us, it is coming from our own community, which hurts.Gabby is the least liked black actress in Hollywood due to her penchant for cheating with married men, and her stank attitude.Within every rumor there is always a kernel of truth. Gabby should fall back and be respectful of the fact that black bloggers mention her name at all when, as she put it, the white media couldn't care less about her.

They Shot Him 10 Times. He Was Holding a Paint Brush

November 14, 2007 -- The shooting of a Brooklyn teen cops believed was brandishing a gun - but who was carrying only a hairbrush - appeared to fall "within department guidelines," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said yesterday.

"As we know the facts now, this shooting appears to be within department guidelines as they faced someone they reasonably believed was about to use deadly physical force," Kelly said.
Khiel Coppin, 18, was shot 10 times in a hail of 20 bullets Monday when police responded to his Bedford-Stuyvesant home after receiving a 911 call from his mother, in which the teen was heard cursing in the background and saying he had a gun.

"I've got a [expletive] gun," Coppin said, according to the 911 transcript.
The violence unfolded when Coppin's mother, Denise Owens, called for help just after 7 p.m. because she feared her son - who had a history of mental problems and took anti-depressants and anti-psychotic medications - might try to hurt her or himself, police said.
"I'm prepared to die," he allegedly told his mother before she called cops.

Coppin had an extensive juvenile record, including multiple arrests for armed robbery and assault dating to when he was 15. He served at least one stint in a juvenile facility upstate.
"This kid is a problem. You can even hear him," his mother told the 911 operator.
"Who is that?" the operator asked.
"That's supposed to be my son!" Owens responded.
"I've got a [expletive] gun!" the teen screamed in the background.
But minutes later, Owens told a police operator in a second call that her son did not have a gun.
"He does not . . . hmm . . . Who says . . . he does not have a firearm," she said, according to a second transcript released by police.

Kelly laid out details of the evening - including the recordings of the 911 calls - in an extensive press briefing, aimed at quelling public anger at the shooting.

Da Brat and JD are Both in Trouble

The young lady who was busted in the head a couple of weeks ago by Da Brat with a bottle of rum is bringing that attorney heat on both Da Brat and Jermaine Dupri’s club Studio 72. Via AHH:
Shayla Stevens, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader who was allegedly assaulted by Da Brat earlier this month, has hired prominent attorneys Willie Gary and CK Hoffler and their firm, Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson and Sperando P.L. Da Brat, born Shawntae Harris, allegedly struck Stevens with a 1.7 liter bottle of rum during a shoving match in the club in the early hours of November 1. According to Gary, Stevens has suffered permanent injuries to her face, as well as possible neurological damage. Additionally, she will miss upcoming games as cheerleader for the Falcons, as well as a scheduled role on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne sitcom. Gary, who is nicknamed “The Giant Killer” for his judgments against corporations, is noted for winning a $240 million jury verdict against Walt Disney, for stealing his clients idea for a theme park.
He also claims that the owners of Club 72, hesitated to contact police due to the negative publicity the assault would cause. A manager who witnessed the assault allegedly failed to help Stevens seek proper medical attention and she was eventually taken to the hospital by a family member. Gary also said that prior to the assault, club owners and security had the opportunity to remove Da Brat from Club 72, but failed to do so. Da Brat was charged with aggravated assault. She was released on $50,000 bond as a result of the incident.
Damn, somebody is about to come up. SMH.

Isiah Washington is in Trouble With Stephon Marbury Now!!

New York Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury recently had a little fit after finding out that he won’t be starting in the next game:

“Isiah has to start me,” Marbury fumed, according to the source. “I’ve got so much (stuff) on Isiah and he knows it. He thinks he can (get) me. But I’ll (get) him first. You have no idea what I know.”

Stephon Marbury is always running his mouth. Hopefully he doesn’t start so we can hear some more dirt on Isiah Thomas and his sexual harassing ass.

Kanye's Mom's Dr. Should Not Have Been Performing Plastic Surgery!! He Had (10) Malpractice Suits!!

Here's the booking photo of Dr. Jan Adams. Dr. Adams was arrested and booked on March 31, 2006, after pleading no contest to DUI. This was his second drunk driving conviction. This photo was taken after he turned himself in on December 29, 2006. He was released the next day.Adams has quite a history. In addition to his March 2006 arrest, he was arrested in September 2002 after his vehicle lost control and hit a parked car. At the time, the good doc told officers on the scene that he lost control of his car when another vehicle failed to stop for a traffic signal. He was unable to provide a description of that car.

Other Details about Dr. Jan
Kanye West's mother, Dr. Donda West's, initial autopsy report is inconclusive pending toxicology reports, but whether or not Dr. Jan is at fault, a ton of skeletons have come crashing out of his closet. He has been sued for malpractice 10 times, 6 times in the last two years alone. One woman claims he left a surgical sponge in her breast. Another says within a week of undergoing liposuction and a tummy tuck from Dr. Jan, she had an infection and a gaping wound on her stomach. She also claims that on her last appointment with Dr. Jan, before he left on a European vacation, that he didn't give her a wound culture, didn’t take her blood pressure or wear gloves when he removed some of her sutures. Her 16-inch abdominal wound had to be repaired by another doctor. Another woman claimed Dr. Jan botched her breast augmentation so badly that she almost bled to death and was left with only one implant. A former girlfriend of Dr. Jan filed a restraining order against him, claiming alcohol had a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide effect on him and that he was a danger to her and her children. Another woman, who bartended at a bar Dr. Jan frequented, sued him for sexual battery after claiming he got her drunk while she was heavily medicated, after undergoing surgery performed by him, and that he’d essentially date raped her causing pregnancy and a subsequent abortion. She also claims he botched her surgery. Another woman suing Dr. Jan claims he told her he was board certified and others say while he claims to have graduated from Harvard Medical School, public record show he received his MD from Ohio State University.

Tiny is Seeking a Recording Contract

It looks like Clifford "Tip" Harris has reconsidered his decision to keep his longtime girlfriend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle from pursuing a recording career. Now that Tip is confined to his spacious home in Jonesboro, the former Xscape member has more freedom to concentrate on her own pursuits. One of those pursuits is returning to the recording booth.Friends say Tiny has long desired to return to recording and performing, but Clifford was against it - telling the mother of his 3-year-old son King, and another baby on the way, that she needed to stay home. But friends say Tip has had a change of heart. On Tiny's Myspace page there are songs she has recorded, including a track with Tip called "Lately".But whether those songs will be released is still up in the air. According to a friend: "T.I. said they would have to pay her more than what he is paying her to release her music."Apparently, Tip paid Tiny the equivalent of a recording contract to put her dreams on the back burner.

A Georgia Company Has a White Only Bathroom

By Jeannie Blaylock
First Coast News

BRUNSWICK, GA -- First Coast News has been investigating allegations that a major local company is guilty of racial discrimination.

Lisa Woods contacted us almost a year ago. She worked at Georgia-Pacific near Brunswick at the scaling house where truckers come to weigh their logs.

She says for months the restroom had a sign saying, "OUT OF ORDER." She alleges her co-worker, Anthony Lee, believed the races shouldn't mix. Lee had no comment.

An independent trucker, Donald Jones, says when he went to the scaling house he saw the same "OUT OF ORDER" sign.

Jones says, "I had to go off in the woods and do what I had to do."

But Lisa Wagner, a former security guard at the scaling house, says if a white truck driver came through, "No problem, no problem at all." Whites were invited to use the toilet, Wagner says.

Was the toilet really broken? First Coast News Jeannie Blaylock went to the scale house with a photographer to find out. She flushed the toilet and it seemed to be working just fine.

Several hours after our news crew stopped at the job site, Georgia-Pacific fired Woods.

Woods is suing Georgia-Pacific for racial and sexual discrimination.

She also alleges Lee put up a cartoon at the job site showing a pregnant monkey. Woods was pregnant at the time but later miscarried.

That miscarriage, verified by medical records from Southeast Georgia Health Systems, is also part of Woods' complaints. She says the company would not let her off from work, even though medical experts recommended she "rest at home for the next several days."

Wagner says, "She worked all day. I seen truckers in and out..in and out...and her by herself working when she had a miscarriage the night before."

Woods alleges she sent numerous communications to the area human resource manager for Georgia-Pacific, but nothing changed.

Attorneys for Geogia-Pacific did not return our calls. But a company spokesperson sent us an email saying, "Georgia-Pacific had a legitimate basis for Ms. Wood's termination and we dispute all of her allegations. We will vigorously defend our position."

Diddy's Daddy Was a Drug Dealer Like Frank Lucas of American Gangster

MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Frank Lucas, the man whose life was documented in the movie American Gangster was on NY's Miss Jones In The Morning radio show yesterday. And he dropped an extraordinary revelation about Sean "Diddy" Combs' father. According to him, Diddy's father was a notorious Harlem gangster.

Here's an excerpt of what Frank Lucas told the radio audience:

I know Melvin Combs ... He was a [hustler] Big Time ... I'm sorry Puff, but I gotta tell it like it is.

Miss Jones: Was he on your level big?

Yeah ... he was right there. I remember one time he got locked up on 3rd Avenue and 139th St ... He got locked up with like a kilo of cocaine ... I had to pay like $36,000 to get him out of jail, you know. Shortly after that [Diddy's father] got killed

Damn, She Blew Weed Smoke in her Face!!!! And She Killed Her.

A personal assistant to punk pioneer and "Realtor to the Stars" Linda Stein was arrested Friday after police said she confessed to the grisly beating death of her boss.

Natavia Lowery, 26, was nabbed in her Brooklyn apartment and taken to the 7th Precinct in Manhattan, where she was charged with second-degree murder.

Stein, whose real estate clients included A-list celebrities such as Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Sting and Steven Spielberg, was discovered dead on Oct. 30 in her posh 5th Avenue apartment.

Police said Lowery told them she flew into a rage after Stein subjected her to racist slurs and blew marijuana smoke in her face.

Lowery said she snapped, grabbed a weighted "yoga stick" used for stretching exercises from her boss and struck the older woman on the face and neck a half-dozen times, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told an afternoon press conference.

Lowery was captured on a surveillance camera leaving the building not long after the fatal assault, police said. The murder weapon was not recovered, but the videotape showed Lowery carrying something from the building.

Stein's vicious killing touched off an investigation in which 60 people were questioned, including many in Stein's inner circle, according to police.

An Italian former lover, upscale pot dealers and a former assistant described as a handsome Romeo type, as well as contractors who were working on the roof of her swanky building on the Upper East Side, were all contacted by detectives.

Police were finally led to Lowery, who had started working for Stein four months earlier and whose previous brushes with the law had been unknown to her new employer, several friends and relatives said.

Sources said Stein hired Lowery in early summer after firing her previous personal assistant. Stein, an old-school style broker, conducted most of her business through personal contacts and lunch and dinner meetings.

Lowery did the computer work, set up meetings and appointments, and handled some of the financial details. Lowery was arrested in Brooklyn last December on misdemeanor identity theft charges.

Prosecutors said she stole the identity of a high school friend to set up $300 credit lines at T-Mobile and Target and used the fake identity to buy thousands of dollars in furniture in Virginia Beach.

Police questioned Lowery soon after the murder but released her. Some of Lowery's relatives insisted she was innocent and had cooperated with police.

The feisty Stein had been on a high after battling back from cancer, and was about to close a major real estate deal.

She was divorced from Seymour Stein, a former president of Sire Records, and was credited with helping launch the punk rock movement in England when she helped bring the Ramones there for their seminal July 4, 1976, concert.

Plans are in the works to have Elton John - who is godfather to Stein's daughter, Mandy - perform at a memorial concert for Stein next year. Proceeds will go toward cancer research.

Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, was told to come back Dec. 5. The 31-year-old rapper was arrested on weapons charges last July after police stopped his 2004 Maybach — a car that sells for up to $400,000 — and found a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Lil Wayne, 24, was ordered to reappear in court Feb. 25. The performer, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was arrested for illegal gun possession after he performed at the same concert in Manhattan as Ja Rule. Prosecutors say police officers smelled marijuana coming from Lil Wayne's tour bus, and as they approached, he tossed aside a bag with a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Grammy-nominated Remy Ma, 26, whose real name is Remy Smith, is charged with assault and witness tampering. She is accused of shooting an acquaintance over money and then trying to intimidate her. She was told to return Dec. 5.

Remy Ma, who has recorded songs with Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, said she knew all the other rappers who were in court and considered them friends.

Damn! Y'all remember when the rock and roll guys were in and out of trouble and stayed on the news for drama? Well what happend and when did they transfer ownership of ignorance to rappers?

It's like every week a new idiot is on the news, being arrested for something.... ignorant. I'm so sick of these rich black men and women not being able to HANDLE being rich and black. Give Pearl some of that money, I'll teacha!

Little Girl Born w/ 4 Arms and 4 Legs

One of Akon's Chicks Says "NO" to Being His New Wife

Akon who has denied being a polygamist and lies about his age will not be getting married to twenty-three year old model Rachel Ritfeld. The British beauty opens up about not being able to be one of Akon’s wives:

“The reality check really came when Akon told me he had his fifth child with one of his wives. For the first few months I got completely freaked out because even though I knew he had other wives, I never really thought about him being with them because his main attention was always on me - or so I thought. He does not live with his wives but the birth of his latest child made everything become real and made me realize that I would always have to share the man I love while accepting his other relationships. At first I was very supportive but I began to question that if I was taking him into consideration and he was taking his family into consideration, who was taking me into consideration? The answer was ‘nobody’ so I decided I could no longer be apart of Akon’s world.”

“The one thing I wanted from Akon was for him to be monogamous to me but he could not grant me my wish. I thought I could handle the idea of becoming one of his wives in the beginning but who’s to say some other woman he meets won’t capture his heart? I soon realised that he was not the man for me. There were times when I wanted us to share quality time together like ordinary couples do, such as going out to dinner or cuddling up together in front of the TV but it was always impossible. I had to always wait until he had time out of his busy schedule or wait until I had a day-off so I could fly half way around the world to see him. The situation began to become a strain on my heart.”

Is Frank Lucas A Liar? (American Gangster)

Bumpy Johnson's wife says Frank Lucas is full of shit. 93-year-old Mayme Johnson, widow of the infamous Harlem gangster Elsworth “Bumpy” Johnson and the man Lucas says was his mentor and who taught him everything he knows, is pissed about what she deems graphic inaccuracies about her husband and Lucas’ relationship. “Frank wasn’t nothing but a flunky, and one that Bumpy never did really trust. Bumpy would let Frank drive him around, but you’d better believe that he was never in any important meetings or anything. Bumpy figured Frank as a liar, and he would say you can trust a thief quicker than a liar, because a thief steals because he needs money, while a liar lies for the hell of it.” Miss Mayme is particularly upset about Lucas’ claim that Bumpy died in his arms. Lucas, she says, was nowhere around the night that Bumpy died from a heart attack while dining at the famous Wells Restaurant on Seventh Avenue in Harlem. She says Lucas probably thought he could get away with the lie because he figured everyone who was around Bumpy at the time is now dead. “Junie Byrd’s gone, Nat Pettigrew’s gone, Sonny Chance is gone, and Finley Hoskin’s gone. Frank would never have said any garbage like that if one of them were alive because he’d know they’d come after him…I bet he thought I was gone, too, but I’m not. I’m 93, and I don’t have Alzheimer’s or dementia, and I’m not senile. Frank Lucas is a damn liar and I want the world to know it.”

Five Students Arrested at Nash Central

Alright This is for all my local folks here in Rock City.

Wednesday, November 07, 2007

Five students were arrested this morning after a melee at Nash Central High School, authorities said.

One student was slightly injured in the altercation, which apparently revolved around "territorial boundaries," Rocky Mount police Capt. Martin McCoy said.
McCoy stopped short of saying the fight was gang-related, but investigators are looking into that possibility.

About a half-dozen officers were called to the school this morning to break up the fight, he said.
Once order was restored, McCoy said, five students were charged with inciting a riot.

The Wires "Snoop" Has a Book Coming Out

While many of us anxiously await the 5th and final season of HBO's The Wire, one of the actors, Felicia Pearson, who plays the androgynous hit woman "Snoop", is busy hawking her memoirs. By Anita Bryant, A-Marketing

While Felicia Pearson is a brilliant actor in a truly chilling role, what's most remarkable about "Snoop" is what she has overcome in her life. Snoop was born a three-pound cross-eyed crack baby in East Baltimore. Those streets are among the toughest in the world, but Snoop was tougher. Snoop's is a woman's story from a fresh point of view. She defied traditional conventions of gender and sexual preference on the hardest streets in AmericaSnoop will autograph her book during a book signing at the Hue-Man cafe @ 6PM on Thursday, Oct. 8.2319 Frederick Douglass Blvd, NYC(Btw. 124th and 125th Streets)212-665-7400
Some of you already know what's it's like to grow up in Bmore. Especially if your related to me. I'm sure this book will enlighten.

Prosecutors are Saying - American Gangster the Movie is a Lie

Ex-prosecutor Richie Roberts, who brought down the Harlem heroin lord portrayed in “American Gangster,” says the hit film glorifies a villain...

LAYING DOWN THE LAW: Ex-prosecutor Richie Roberts, who brought down the Harlem heroin lord portrayed in “American Gangster,” says the hit film glorifies a villain.

But Roberts' main beef is with the studio's depiction of Lucas as almost noble. Among the exaggerations or plain factual errors, he says, are Lucas being moral with his family, modest in dress and behavior, and a straight dealer in business.

Roberts called one scene, in which Lucas holds his family members' hands in prayer at a Thanksgiving feast, "sickening." Sources have said Lucas manipulated his family, bringing them from North Carolina to work for his drug business, and even put out a contract on his own brother.

Cops and prosecutors who worked the case say the film inflates Lucas' role in Harlem's drug scene, and contains dozens of falsehoods, like the prevalence of dirty cops and the transport of heroin in the caskets of Vietnam soldiers.

"The whole film is a bunch of lies," said Dominick Amorosa, the lead prosecutor in the 1975 federal case in which Lucas was sentenced to 40 years in prison (he served only seven). Roberts prosecuted a New Jersey case against Lucas.

"They claim it's based on a true story," said New York-based Drug Enforcement Administration agent Joseph Sullivan, who was at a raid on Lucas' Teaneck, N.J., home after two members of the Mafia ratted Lucas out.

"His name is Frank Lucas and he was a drug dealer - that's where the truth in this movie ends."
Even Lucas admitted to sources that "only 20 percent of the film is true."
Roberts conceded that his role in the film is also misleading: "It took more than just me to bring down Frank Lucas."

A Universal spokesman said it is "completely expected that there might be conflicting versions of these incidents, as there are whenever narrative choices are made to dramatize a film based on real people and events," adding, "the material facts are conveyed truthfully."

Good morning, A knife is sharpened by whetting it with another piece of iron-- generally with a parallel movement. However, if you set the knife contrary to the other metal-- striking edge to edge, you will dull, damage, or even break the blade. The principle is the same for your relationships. If your companions are living contrary to God, they can hurt you relationship with him. However, if your closest friends are on a parallel course in knowing God, you will sharpen and bring out the best in each other. Do your dearest friends hone your relationship with God-- or turn you away from him? Today, seek buddies who will encourage you to be your best for God. Have a Blessed Day.

The Real American Gangster - Frank Lucas and His Daughter

What you didn't see in the film "American Gangster."
While still barely a teenager, Frank Lucas began the peripatetic existence that took him to Wilson, North Carolina where he ran into trouble. "I was going with a white girl named Ann, who was the boss's daughter," Lucas recalled. "The boss got mad at me. We were supposed to get paid every two weeks but he wouldn't pay me, so I burned the warehouse down. I had to run. I arrived in Harlem with no money, nothing."

"I used my wits to survive. I spent the first year robbing people with intimidation until I met Bumpy Johnson." One time, I screwed up. "He told me to go and sell a truckload of liquor for him." I did but blew the money in a card game before I could give it to Bumpy. He didn't kill me."
Christian Boone recently interviewed Frank Lucas's daughter Francine Lucas (above, with her children) for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Below is a excerpt from the interview.
Francine Sinclair spent much of her life running from the past. At one point she even changed her surname — anything to keep her friends from knowing she was the daughter of notorious drug kingpin Frank Lucas.
But she knew anonymity was lost when she discovered Denzel Washington was portraying her father in "American Gangster," which opened nationwide last Friday.
Interestingly, Francine and Nicky Barnes' daughter are good friends.
I watched the very clear bootleg copy of this movie and it's very good. He was the man once upon a time.

T-Pains New Room Mate

How R. Kelly gets to travel, have sex on his bus with groupies, smoke weed while getting his braids done, and eat bad hotel food is beyond ME. Dude has CHARGES. T-Pain locked up on house arrest. Eve and others wearing montioring bracelets! R. Kelly? He’s gonna be staring at some female children who’s dumb a** parents take them to one of his shows (cause you know SOMEONE will do just that!). Ay dios mio, Sweet Minty Jesus be a Sex Offender Poster!

R. Kelly is about to hit the road for his upcoming “Double Up” tour, which starts November 14, but that doesn’t mean his child-pornography case will be on hold for the duration of his trek. In a hearing on Friday (November 2), a Chicago judge ruled that forensics expert Dr. Sharon Cooper can testify at a hearing, to be held December 18, about the veracity of her methods to determine her claims that Kelly is the man on the sex tape. Cooper has claimed she could identify him through the veins visible on his hands, and the hearing will be used to determine whether that method is acceptable in the scientific community at large. Cooper will also testify about how she determined the age of the victim on the tape, whom prosecutors say was 14 years old at the time of the alleged taping. Kelly will be in between show dates in Sacramento, California, and Chicago, and thus able to attend the hearing. (source)

I know Keylolo Tittayballs, J. “Dental” Holiday and Go-Go are touring with him too. I might have to protest their records to show that this is some silly tomfoolery biznazz that they are going out with him! Let someone’s daughter show up missing in Des Moines, Iowa and they will be packing their bags faster than you can say “Sex Planet!”

I love my R&B but I will not be seeing this show. I need R. Kelly to get somewhere and sat DOWN and quit flaunting our flawed legal system in our faces!

Something is wrong. Very wrong.

Thoughts?

Beyonce Who????

Tupac Statue Defamed

A couple of weeks ago the Tupac statue in the Peace garden at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation in Georgia was defaced. People immediately assumed it was a hate crime because the statue had what appeared to be a noose around its neck, was plastered with racsist notes and had a pair of draws strewn across its head. The night after the inital vandalism, the guy came back to do more damage and was caught by security. The dude they arrested turned out to be black, drunk and rambling about how he wanted to talk to Tupac. Anyway, the dude, 43-year-old Kenneth Anthony Wilson, was charged Thursday (November 1) with second-degree criminal damage to property, a felony. He is currently being held at the DeKalb County jail under a $1,500 bond.

Go Straight to Jail!!! All of You!!!

Da Brat was arrested early Thursday after a dispute with a waitress at Studio 72, Jermaine Dupri’s clu. 33-year-old Shawntae Harris was charged with aggravated assault, said DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish. Club owners couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. But according to the police report this is how it all went down: The waitress accidentally bumped into Brat and the two proceeded to get into a little “verbal scuffle.” The waitress apparently didn’t want to hear Mr. Harris’ mouth so she walked away and baby gangster (Da Brat) took a bottle of rum, and hit the waitress in the face with it! Parish said the waitress, who sustained a deep laceration to the cheek and some swelling on the forehead, was driven to a hospital by a friend.
And last, but not least, Tremaine. Tremaine Neverson that is. We know him as “Trey Songz” by the way. Anyhow, he was arrested Sunday night in connection with a shooting in Springfield, Massachusetts. Really? Springfield? Hmm … no comment. Anyhow, Trey was among a group of men taken into custody on Sunday following the incident in the parking lot of The Hippodrome, where he had performed the previous evening. The shoot-out left one man injured and he was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The alleged gunman, 29-year-old Anthony Williams, has been charged on multiple counts, including assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without a lisence and assault with intent to murder (dayummm, homie!).
Next up is Faheem Najm, better known to us common folk as “T-Pain.” He was arrested in Florida on Friday for “outstanding warrants.” According to TMZ, he turned himself in at Leon County Jail, where he was charged with driving on a suspended license. He’s not a G like my boy Da Brat! TMZ reports that police saw T-Pain driving in Tallahassee in June and, after running his record, discovered that he had a suspended license. Anyhow, if my sources are correct, Teddy Penderass was still able to perfrom at FAMU’s homecoming with Lil’ Wayne and Boosie. Meanwhile, JIVE is denying pretty much everything (minus the FAMU homecoming bit) mentioned in the previous 5 lines. Go figure!

Stripper Set on Fire in DC Strip Club

(WJZ) WASHINGTON Police are investigating a violent attack in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Saturday night.

Adam May reports a 26-year-old worker at Good Guys, a popular adult strip club, was attacked by an angry customer. The employee was doused with a flammable liquid, possibly gasoline, and set on fire.

"He's critical at this point...we're hearing it's 80 percent," said Asst. Chief Diane Grooms from the D.C. Police Department.

Police say the attacker was kicked out of the club earlier in the night for taking unauthorized pictures of the nude dancers.

Investigators think he might have been hurt before fleeing the scene.

"Of course we're looking for someone with burns to their hands that could be on the front of his body," said Grooms.

The attack comes as the club was trying to get the okay to expand. Some neighbors worry that could bring more trouble.

"It's the lifestyle. It's the nightlife, the type of place it is. People come in there, have a few drinks, get a little crazy, women, it's all in the atmosphere," said one resident.

The attacker faces charges of assault with the intent to kill.

Some Washington TV stations are reporting the suspect is either a Latino or Middle Eastern man in his 30s or 40s.

Dog The Bounty Hunter - Canned

Dog the Bounty Hunters Son and his Black Girlfriend

A&E has indefinitely pulled all airings of Dog the Bounty Hunter effective Friday, two days after star Duane "Dog" Chapman's racist rant hit the Internet.

"In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog the Bounty Hunter off the network's schedule for the foreseeable future," the network said in a statement. "We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun."

An A&E spokesperson insisted the network's flagship series—one of the top-rated shows on cable with around 2 million viewers per first-run episode—has not been canceled.

The network had already suspended production on the show on Wednesday, shortly after Chapman's N-bomb-laced conversation was posted online by the National Enquirer.

"When the inquiry is concluded, we will take appropriate action," A&E said in an earlier statement.

Civil-rights leaders have decried Chapman's outburst, and at least two advertisers pulled their sponsorship before A&E's decision to shelve Dog the Bounty Hunter.

I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people who have suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred," Chapman said in a statement released last week.
